There's consistant characters, locations, and more always filling their designated roles, which are built on as the books progress. Now all we need is some grand, climactic Diary of a Wimpy Kid crossover event, like Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Endgame. And you know Manny would be the villain.

That's what The Long Haul should've been. If they wanted to do a big feature film recasting the characters, they should've made it animated so people didn't associate it with the originals

I actually read the web comic first, as I found out while I was on funbrain.
