    What stupid comments!!! She had a job, he had a job....they were obviously doing better before. Sometimes, times get tough, thru no fault of your own!! Be glad it's not you!! But have a little compassion for others before you start asking why they had so many kids. That's not the issue here.

    Bread, bologna and powdered milk puts the weight on. Eating unhealthy puts the weight on. Don't be so eager to put people down you might end up in their shoes some day. They are Americans for heavens sake. We have helped many countries now it is time to stop foreign aid to those that don't need it and help our own.

    She was talking about how people that are well off don't know what it's like to struggle. Um I know many people who didn't grow up with money and are successful. My husband came to this country over ten years ago. When he first came here he had to use pocket change to buy food from the 99 cent store. English was not his first language and he only has a high school education. He grew up in a modest home with 2 working parents. He is now 37, owns a business and is considered to be in the 1%.

    So sad. I hate knowing that people are hungry and struggling out in this economy. People like to talk and put down, but these people had jobs, they worked like each of us. Now, they have nothing because of this economy and it's sad. My worst fear is not having enough for my children to eat. I pray to the Lord every day that my husband and I keep out jobs. For without that, we would be exactly like this family and so would a lot of you!! Don't judge, try to help.

    People that live in mini mansions know what it's like to struggle.Its just a different type of struggle. Like the struggle of putting themselves through college, only to start at the bottom of their field and spending the majority of their 20's not popping out kids, but building themselves up to a place where they can earn 6+ figures per year.

However USA produces tonnes of crops enough to be poured into sea or used as economic weapon against third world countries. The US hunger is utterly absurd, and insulting to the title of 'Superpower' .

    If I win any money on lottery tickets I promise to spend a lot on people who need lodging and food
    I thank God that I have lodging and plenty of food. Why do people have to suffer

    • @johnmartin4641
      @johnmartin4641 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      People suffer because they make bad choices. There are 3 rules to success I’ve always told people to follow because I’ve never met anyone who has followed all 3 of these rules and isn’t successful:
      1. Major in business administration instead of stupid crap like gender studies.
      2. Work for a large corporation instead of a small business.
      3. Work for a recession resistant/essential company/industry (recession resistant and essential are usually the same thing) and pick an essential job that the company will always need.
      I’m not saying it’s impossible to succeed if you don’t follow all 3 of these rules; I’m just saying I’ve never met anyone who has followed all 3 of these rules that isn’t successful.

    It is a very difficult, stressful and uncertain time here in America. This recession/ depression is staggering people from the ranks of the poor up to the upper middle class. Indeed, more and more families in the middle to upper middle class segment are either applying and/or receiving food stamps because they have lost their jobs, and cannot pay their mortages.

    Hi: It is a sorry state of affairs. 45 mill unemployed, people hungry. Instead of giving foreign aid that money should be spent at home. Not giving money to Israel 9 bill $'s. Iraq is in a mess and cost billions. Now they want to war with Iran. More lost men and we foot the bill. It will only get worse sadly. This time I think it would be worse than the Great Depression. Why don't those who we have helped so much give some back for a change?

    They have a garden; they should be growing potatoes, tomatoes, root veg, salads... can have a significant impact on the food bill. Most of the produce can be grown from scraps from the supermarket.

    • @starababa1985
      @starababa1985 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't just peel back some grass and expect to grow a garden in the exposed dirt. It usually takes about 5 years to cultivate, fertilize and amend soil to get it to the point where it will produce decently with vigilant care, including daily watering and building a compost pile.
      Seeds are the smallest expense. It would be cheaper in the first few years to just buy produce from the grocery store. If you're going to seriously garden, be prepared for a long haul with many backaches and failures along the learning curve. It's not a weekend job for wimps.

Its not just the kids that would fill schools that have closed down b/c of abortion, what is missing is the love that we should have 4 our neighbor. We must love even in small ways, by giving 2 the less fortunate, reguardless of if they deserve it, that is how we can change our world 1 step @ a time.

    This is why I support Obama and his immediate rollout of the Federalization of welfare dependency for the mass unemployed population nationwide.
    Without Obama's plans of a Federalized tax system for wealth redistribution, the haves get more and the have nots like these unemployable people, wind up having less than ever before.
    I agree with Obama in pushing for new taxes on anyone who earns $75k or more in gross pre-tax income, its the only way to decrease the nation's level of 3rd world poverty.

    Its tough to make it. even if you earned double minimum wage how can you afford a mortgage, car, maintenance, utilities, health insurance, car ins., home ins., kids, internet (now a neccessity), phone, and still expect to save for childs college tuition. You can forget about saving for retirement too because you will have to work until you die or ageism prevents you from getting hired . Then you have to hope your kids take you in.

    Those that are able should be made to sweep the street or do something constructive to pay back the community for the assistance that they are given.

    The families could be growing food in their backyards. Seeds from pumpkins, watermelons etc. are free and you can grow many potatoes from one potato, just like grade school science, put them on wet cotton-balls and watch them sprout, then cut them and plant them. They should try this to supplement the food that they are given.

    Our largest power is our consumer power right now. A corporation quits using American labor? Quit buying from them and tell them why. It really does work.

    They should be using part of the back yard to plant seeds and grow food with. That will help put food on the table.

    i AGREE I am a single mom of one ten year old, i did not have more kids because I knew i would not be able to give them what they need ...one child is enough if you are low income, unless you want to be stupid and have more kids you can't afford. When i know i can provide more that is when i will have more children and not until then.

    Easier said than done, my friend. If the soil needs ammendments, that cost money, seeds cost money, hand tool cost, fertilizers/water....time time time. With kids, meal pre, shopping, homework, laundry etc. many people do not have time to start seeds, transplant, water and weed. It is hard, time consuming back breaking labor. I know ...I have done it for years and still do.

    Nice to know there's still people who care in the country it's what America should be about. not causing a pointless war with the wrong country or about some drugged out celebrities. but Americans who actually care about other Americans.....!

    Why would the teen have to share a bed with the baby? Wouldn’t it make more sense for the baby to be in a pack n play in the parents room? They’re as cheap as $50.
    With that being said I applaud the dad for doing what he needs to. I know so many adults that would rather not work at all, then work certain jobs.
