It is discouraging trying to keep up with the premium stuff, especially when only 1/2 of the lines show up here. But you know it’s still awesome when you find something new! Nice finds!!!👍🏼👍🏼
Love the way you changed the carded wall to a Plano wall. This is what has always separated you from the rest. You are a true enthusiast and you have always said you are in it for fun - not profit. This is the #1 collector channel. Hands down.
I think the "Room" connotation might have to be retired now and just straight up call it a museum, lol I can remember when it was just a room though, and most of your collection was crammed in that old mystery closet in the corner with the sliding doors.
Thanks for still being into the hobby and don't worry about being slow at getting things out. You've always been the place I usually catch new Hot Wheels series at within your videos, if I don't happen to run across them online in forums.
4:20 those Gulf series cars are pegwarmers at my local Kroger. They are really slow at putting things out - like it takes them 3-4 months sometimes. Those Gulf cars have been sitting at my Kroger untouched for the past 3 months nobody has bought them. I have been able to get one each time I go there (once a month) and have completed the entire series. It's funny, you would think they would be so popular but I guess not.
Also I think that Hot Wheels getting more detailed is just natural evolution for them to be able to keep up with Greenlight and M2, they know they are getting egg on their faces being the largest toymaker but yet not putting forth the effort into doing it. It's not like they can't afford to lose a few cents with extra paint.
I agree with all your statements! Also I think the artwork on the Gulf series could have been better done, and some of the car choices weren't exceptional either. Like VW Golf for Gulf oil? Who's idea was that.... just a play on words most likely. Anywhoo! Glad you enjoy my videos, they will never stop so long as I live! Happy hunting!
I never seen so many people in hotwheels cars sales they are like hot cakes get them while you can.I collected hotwheels & nascars 1/64 for 21 years now... thanks gary!!!!!
I like the videos of vintage Hot Wheels. Weather it be year-by-year videos or hauls. It's nice to see vintage Hot Wheels ever now and then and learn a bit about them.
The next video will likely be a vintage Hot Wheels Haul! Coming soon anyways!
Always great to see the Hot Wheels Room! I remember the old days of searching for a new Hot Wheels video on youtube lol. I think it's great that we have more creators and still wtffor is one of the best channels in the hobby and a "must see"! 👍

I hear you about premium lines- I just don’t worry about getting whole sets anymore. Mainline cars (even fantasy) do look pretty good so far.

You have a collection that many Hot Wheels collectors would be envy of. I try to get just sets instead of whole cases when i can, as Hot Wheels alone produces a *lot* of premium lines nowadays, and getting all these can get expensive pretty fast. Nice haul and i like Blackwall tires as well. Thanks for the update!

I wish Mattel would bring back more black walls to the mainline cast . Love your videos, being a year older than hot wheels myself I also very much prefer the back wall style wheels.

Everybody has a hobby, i like to admit 1/64 die-cast is my addiction, when i start to feel guilty about spending so much money on my cars i justify it by telling my self at least im not spending all my money on drugs or alcohol. Collecting is a positive habit and hunting is a good exercise.

I like your system for non-mint models (needing mint replacements) laid on their sides, and of course your well organised shelves of plastic organizer containers. If it helps any, I think the "decades" set of car are officially called "Target Throwbacks". Best wishes mate =)

Awesome collection, it stinks that you have to buy some of the cars off of Ebay. People do want way to much for some of the cars, if I could get them to you at cost, I would. Thanks for sharing and will be looking for the next video.

My dad drove a 65 Ford just like that 50th Favorite when I was a kid. His was white with red interior. I customized one and gave to him as a Christmas present last Dec.
That is a terrific x-mas gift, very creative and thoughtful of you. I am sure your Dad loves it!
Always interesting to hear you talk about the hobby! Keep rocking man! The biggest issue for me is to wipe out free space in the HW room... Plus with my giant diorama, it doesn't help much. But oh well, I will deal with it. :P

As a member of the we don’t get them here either club , you can prioritise whatever you like on getting what you like, don’t let the miserables get to you. Love the Real Riders casts but too bad those rubber tires make them so slow on the track =/ But those castings for them.. wow, very impressive. Glad I have a few.
A lot of the channels that rapidly cover new product lack the substance and love for the culture and hobby. I just want to see others passionate about the hobby, like yours. It doesn't even matter whether you cover new products right when they're released.
Plus he knows all this stuff right off the top of his head. The people that review the new stuff is because they run their channels to make money, so they have to get everything before everyone else does in order to cash in on the click advertising from people searching for it so their video gets the most views & money,

Our local Kroger stores for some reason, put the Favorites on clearance with their Christmas items. My cousin bout over 200 of the Favorites for 60 cents each. He gave me a bag full for nothing. I had already bought 16. Most were the Galaxy 500. Also just the first 5 cars.

Working on that presently actually! I just finished displaying what I have from '96 to '99, and am working on the 2000 year series... I have to admit I have quite a few missing variations and some cars from the "Series Card" faded blue to white collection. Thank you for your offer, would be interesting to see what you might have that I do not!

Not sure if you do any customs or base swaps but the fast n furious escort makes for a great swap when putting a metal base and real riders on the white gumball escort
I tend to prefer your channel as it is filled with much more information coming from someone who really loves & enjoys the hobby, plus, I really enjoy seeing your huge collection, I have many 1,000's myself but still nothing compared to yours. From this batch I really didn't collect any of these other than the Bone Shaker and the Mustang from the Flashback set, The Retro ones have just nothing really new to them, always the same cards with different artwork (Great Artwork though). Very cool video as always.

I'm 46 years old and I just discovered toy car collecting. Of course, this is very nostalgic for me because it reminds me of my youth. That being said I've looked at hundreds of videos or channels like yours I really like the way you just filmed all the different kinds of cars. I sort of find the other channels a little bit intimidating. Just wanted to let you know that I really like what you've done here in this video. Also, may I ask what kind of cases those are you hung on the wall? That's probably my favorite part of the whole room is how uninformed that all looks.

They are filling up quickly, but I have a plan to unearth all of this stuff and bring it first to video, then to a new home on the display walls. I may end up opening a lot of collections this year! :)

I am also in Canada. I live in Nova Scotia. Hard to get cars here. Walmarts do not stock very often.

The hot wheels today are nothing like the ones in the 80's and 90's i even had the hot wheels carwash set as a kid

Thanks for watching my channel over the years, and nice to hear from you! I'll give you a bit of a back story on the Blackwall Fire Chief car you mention... If it's the one you are talking about on the diorama? If so I have been searching for this car for nearly 10 years... It is a super rare variation with a tan interior (instead of black as is common)... I bought it on ebay from the Larry Woods collection, and I would guess that I will never see another again. It was not cheap, I should add. A piece that I have been wanting to ad to my nearly complete collection for a loooong time. Thanks for your message to me, and I hope you watch the upcoming video where I will talk and demonstrate in detail the Fire Chief cars and variations that I have.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of people marking up prices of diecast. I don't mind paying more for the vintage stuff but if I'm buying cars that just hit the market, it's kind of scummy.
At least I'm not a completionist.

The Ford Super de Luxe from Back to the Future is flat black the older one is gloss black. So it is a little bit different.

Jim is alive and well, he is living in a retirement home now, and his diecast collecting days are likely behind him. But his stories live on to this day!

Love the videos. I’ve learned a lot from watching, and drooled a lot over the collection. I do have one question, maybe you can answer maybe not. I’ve noticed cars promoting Gulf oil seem to be produced by for the most out all of the oil companies, occasionally I’ll come across a shell promotion or something, but very rarely do I come across anything related to Bp or Exxon. That seems to be the case with all the diecast companies. Do you know why this is or any guesses?
Question, can you give us the dimensions of that room? I am working on something similar and need to figure out the size of the table in the center, and if I can add a few cabinets. I have >10,000 cars.
Yes of course! My Hot Wheels Room is essentially a 13' by 23' square, with a little extra at the entry way (4' x 4').
