You see on glb str gogeta came before phy fp frieza sonhe literally introdufed the immense modifier to glb, he had effrctive against all types( new mechnich), had the highest stats in the game and the best leader skill iiln the game. Basically every content could have been cleared with 2 gogetas and 5 saiybaman. Also where are gobros on the list they were rivaling agl kale & caulifla and for me were better due to them being a DF and not a yellow coin LR and not being so dependent on U6 saiyens which their optimal team was 3 of them( agl kale and caulifla).

And for AGL Super Vegito, he should be top 2 or 3, really powerful unit when he released, sadly you didn't play back then to witness it yourself! Either way really good video!!
Yeah PHY vegito blue was a monster like no other when released. Was doing like 3 times the damage as any other unit, took no damage, and counter attacked. Plus if I'm not mistaken he was released right before or at the same time as the potential system.
The dude countered every single attack so crazy! I once had him do 6 supers in a row and he was at 55% that's wild, I think he's my favourite unit in the game based on kit not performance
Also. Id argue AGL super Vegeto should have been on this list. That was back before the game had any significant leads. He literally started the meta of having leads that give percentages in hp/attack/defense
the fact STR Videl didnt even get a passing mention here is extremely egregious. She was absolutely the best unit in the game on her release, dominated content for months after and has aged very well

Great video, but I can definitely feel the fact you didnt' play back in the ancient days! No worries though, still did great, and it's kinda hard to think about the old days if you weren't there. PHY Vegito Blue should have been on the list, and pretty high up on it, the guy single-handedly invalidated almost every other leader in a way that only Gogeta had done before or after him, since Super Class 3 Ki 50% was insane in the God Leads era. AGL Super Vegito also should have been on the list and very high as well, he released as the best unit in the game, and if you had him, you could not lose unless you were trying to, he was functionally invincible since bosses didn't super all that often back then, and he didn't lose his throne until a new Leader Skill meta came out, and even then he was still dominating the entire game on AGL SSJ4 Vegeta's team. I think a couple fun characters to mention as well are STR Cooler, and SR STR First Form Frieza. Cooler obviously was the uncontested best TUR until TEQ Ultimate Gohan came out, super high value and lead a monster of a team while being a menace to society. Then SR STR Frieza was the first GOAT unit, since he was the best leader in the game at the very beginning outside the nearly impossible to get SSRs, and I remember my friends rerolling for him when they started playing. While this vid wasn't really about EZAs, I think a fun video would be going over the most impactful EZAs in the game's history, since EZAs have done just as much damage to character design as many of these crazy LRs and Anniverasry units, since things like INT Janemba being the real start of Dokkan being afraid of Guard, or characters that came back with an EZA to reclaim their thrones like PHY Vegito Blue being one of the best units in the game for a while.

I played the global version of Dokkan after it was released for 6 months. I built up that account for those 6 months. When I saw gogeta, I literally looked at my box and said “this is all worthless if I DO NOT have gogeta”. I was legit gonna delete my account and reroll if I don’t get him. I had I think 150 stones and luckily got him. But you are SEVERELY downplaying this guy. I literally had so many good units for those 6 months playing, and I was happily gonna delete it all without a second thought if I didn’t get gogeta. When I got him and played with his UNAWAKENED VERSION, it wasn’t even close that he was the best unit in all of Dokkan history. No other unit made me think “if I don’t have him, I will delete everything and reroll just for him. Not even beast made me come close to thinking of rerolling. Once you awakened him (which wasn’t easy cause the Dokkan event was STUPID HARD) it was almost like you hacked the game and gave all your units unlimited damage. He literally made the game a complete joke. Nothing that came out was even a challenge if you had him. Sorry about it the rant, but he was/is by far and away, not even close, the absolute best unit Dokkan has, and most likely will ever release
Hard agree, people underrate him simply because they weren't around from the beginning. What you said about rerolling your account is so true, I clearly remember me and my friends being fine with restarting everything just to have a chance at pulling him again as well. And back in those days grinding for stones was waaay more tedious than it is now. Gogeta is the original OP unit, the one that started the true powercreep that continues to this day, the first unit you'd spend hours and hours grinding for, and by relative strength the most powerful unit in Dokkan battle history.

Im so happy str gogeta was number 1 because anniversary units used to be like wayyyyyy stronger than any card now its like eh whatever in 2 months we’ll get a stronger eza that gogeta used to be carrying teams through events single-handedly good times! His event was hard too to obtain medals
Agl Kale n Caulifa was also insanely busted bc of the bug letting them go above 24 ki after every additional giving them like the craziest dmg boost ever 😭
Maaaan…I remember when STR Gogeta came out on global. The rates were brutal my buddy managed to pull both him and Janemba at the time I was so butt hurt for a long time and didn’t pull STR Gogeta for a couple years after that lmfao 🤣, but I kept my account through that and eventually PHY Full Power Frieza came out I pulled him and quickly realized he was definitely on Gogeta’s level. He may not have had as good as a leader skill as STR Gogeta, but christ PHY Full Power Frieza just fodderized everything for me back then. INT Ultimate Gohan was also on the same level too when he came out.

I recently watched old footage of str gogeta and turns out his damage was equivalent to about a 20 mil crit in todays meta, which was only 1 to 1.5 health bars on the dokkan events back then and a handful of other units like Phy full power frieza, AGL god goku and Phy gotenks could come close to matching it. However, I remember using LR int gohan and literally one shotting all of the hardest fights in the game. A unit in today’s meta would need a 150+ mil crit super attack to match that.

It was thought that STR Gogetas stat boost being 7000+ was going to be an anniversary thing. That the headlining unit(s) would have the mega boost in stats. However, when Dokkan saw how dominant the unit was, they nixed that idea and just went with regular stat increases. If this is true or not, we will probably never know (given how young Dokkan was and how the developers weren't as experienced), but at the time, this was a popular thought.
TEQ SSJ4 Gogeta's EZA wasn't mid at all. He was amazing in every event. Especially against Redzone Broly he was insanely good and did insane damage at the time.
I was playing during Str gogetas release. I remember as it was yesterday, when i descided to pull for 200 Gems and got him 3 times. But my team was to weak to make his Event cause ive startet with game😂

for ui goku the hardest event was the gt goku event, he was horrible in that event with goku being tec and nullifying dodge maybe as a super battle road specialist he was good but that event allows 8 items
Mad disrespect on the 3rd year anni lrs. The PHY gogeta and INT Vegito were crazy when they dropped. Especially the vegito was the best unit in the game by far and beign able to counter as an LR doing like 1 mil dmg counters at that time was mad. Also dont forget that around that time sbr dropped which was crazy hard back then and they cleared them easy.
Saying lr kale and caulifla were better than beast gohan on release is a bad take in my eyes because lr beast gohan performance wise isn’t just the best but his abilities to protect other units that can’t protect themselves makes him clearly stronger than lr kale and caulifla were on release

The biggest difference between the two is the abundance of options we have now. Beast might be op everywhere but there is a lot of options you could use if you don’t pull him, meanwhile, kc was .. well she was ridiculously good, like actually she could SOLO the game, and you either had her or you’ll STRUGGLE to do any content

I've been playing since 2016 (when STR Gogeta was destroying the entire game) and I honestly think that AGL Vegito should be #2 and the 2nd year anniversary ssj4's should be in the top 5 due to how much they gapped the game at that time (they jumped from 70% to 120% leader skills and were the first units to easily break over a million damage).
AGL super vegito definitely 2 or even debating 1 there was no unit in the game that can break his guard (verus normal attacks obviously) and what made so cracked was his attack back can finish the battle ur doing right then and there. No super attack needed just his counter attack

Can confirm that me and all my friends did indeed delete anyone who wasnt setting str gogeta to their friend lead. iirc at the time he was the only % lead in the game where everyone was all like +2 ki or soemthing and like 3000 atk
His original leader skill was Ki +3, Atk +3000 for all types. The Ki +3, Hp, Atk, Def +77% is his EZA leader skill. His EZA released after 120% leads came out (STR SSJ4 Goku, etc.)

Naaaah Teq Ulthan should be on the list over The Year 7 lrs, these lrs were the best unit im the game for their meta but bruh they still were getting washed by broly, and for Teq Gohan to exist in "the same realm" compared to them in terms of defense, there's no comparison, consistently total domination for over 2 years against the hardest bosses... and still runnable post the first cell max
Piccolo at number 7 is crazy. Like, under Teq Vegito Blue? That guy was already being compared to Rosé when coming out. I really have the feeling people haven't used Piccolo at all sometimes during the last 2 years, either that or their just unconscious. He outlived the 8 anni meta while being the best unit in the game and also outlived both Gogeta and Broly. When he first came out, you were able to kill every difficult boss in the game without it having the chance to ATTACK. If you ran double piccolo in the same rotation, two giant forms activation were able to kill EVERY difficult boss in the game without him having the chance to attack, it's basically a cheat code! It became so bad that people stopped using him because of "guilt". If you see Truth's videos where he rans him, he almost never uses his giant because he would automatically win, basically ruining the fun. Broly? A joke. AOE phase skipped and final phase could be killed by a SINGLE giant form. Cell Max: could be killed with a single giant form. Cooler Core: could be killed with 2 giants in one turn, making the final phase (the only threatening one) a joke. Fusion Zamasu? That boss everyone complained about for MONTHS? He destroyed it ALONE. 9th anniversary content? No problem. He still is the best unit in the game for the Super Buu Red Zone (he's the only one which can completely make the second phase unable to do anything, since beast doesn't counter AOEs). Let me clarify: unit from 2 years ago, best unit in the game for new content. He has no problems against Kid buu, as it can be also seen by Truth's showcase. He has no problems against the new Supreme Battles, even if, as of now, he's starting to age: a super on first hit can deal some serious damage (still not enough to kill) But, that's literally what I said. He's "STARTING" to age. He's not mid, not good, not great, he's still absolutely broken, unfair and a cheat: after he takes two hits he still tanks everything until the final phase which he completely negates. Speaking of negating, he's also on the list for top character choice on the new Cell Max stage, since his Giant form counters Cell's mechanics. (Again, he's vulnerable on first hit, but those are some VERY LOW chances. There's more chance in him starting at slot 7 and negating the entire fight without being touched then him getting killed). Meanwhile, K&C at 2 is completely crazy. Like, I know how powerful they were, but they were good on one literal stage and dropped off after the release of new content. Even then, characters like AGL SSJ2 Gohan weren't that far off from their level, he was even better in some cases. Like, the thing is, K&C and every other unit in this list is still a "unit". While also being bugged, K&C still left other units vulnerable, they weren't able to oneshot the final phase no effort without items. Granted, units in these days were actually strong enough to resist, no bosses actually did 5 times your health with a super, even with 0 defense you couldn't die with a super. But that's just makes Piccolo more impressive! He was able to completely save ANY UNIT in a meta that was 300 times worse and everything coming out was badly designed. K&C were good, but they weren't making the boss unable to attack, they weren't breaking the RULES of the game, and same applies to every other unit after him except for Beast, which is No.1 imo. Gogeta was high damage, utility (debuffs) and WAY too high value (being the leader of everything). Vegito, 4 months after, was already better damage, defense, utility, and value. 2th Anni units, better damage, defense, value. SSJ2 Gohan, way higher damage. Blue Vegito, higher damage. 3th Anni unit, better damage, defense, value. K&C, way higher damage, and the cycle continues. If anything, K&C is the same as SSJ2 Gohan in terms of value when coming out. Meanwhile, Piccolo, had 2024 mechanics in the 2022 - 2023 unfair meta. The fact that he survived 4 meta changes and STILL is here is just proof that he was wayy too ahead of his time, and I don't see him losing any value until 10th anni.

It’s often forgotten that their nerfed although it was more of a bug fix since their additional supers would launch at higher Ki than 12 which wasn’t intentional if I recall correctly
Put all these units together and they won’t even come close to agl Super Vegito when he first came out. That unit in that era was the equivalent of today’s beast if not stronger, the only event where you’d struggle was Golden Frieza, and even then he was dominating
While in theory I would agree with you, having the dominant 9th year anniversary units just feels like fights are much more fair than they felt in the early Red Zone meta. We didn’t have a unit on Beast or LR Gogeta or the 6th Anniversary EZAs caliber

I think gt goku and ssj4 vegeta shouldn't be on the list and bump the year 7s up to 8, gt goku and ssj4 vegeta were an insane attack supporter and a revive mechanic all team helper but they weren't even the best on release technically (post-hoc analysis but if we look back at the teams, piccolo still was on power of wishes and helped nullify aoes)

Maaaan…I remember when STR Gogeta came out on global. The rates were brutal my buddy managed to pull both him and Janemba at the time I was so butt hurt for a long time and didn’t pull STR Gogeta for a couple years after that lmfao 🤣, but I kept my account through that and eventually PHY Full Power Frieza came out I pulled him and quickly realized he was definitely on Gogeta’s level. He may not have had as good as a leader skill as STR Gogeta, but christ PHY Full Power Frieza just fodderized everything for me back then. INT Ultimate Gohan was also on the same level too when he came out.

I remember pulling STR Gogeta on global even with the lower rates and it just made everything in the game a snooze fest with how dominant he was. My friends were super jealous of me and it was actually unfair to compare. I’ve pulled every Gogeta on their first banners since then. Only character I can say that for

Only reason was I don’t really know where to rank since I wasn’t playing and my knowledge of super old dokkan is somewhat limited
I recently watched old footage of str gogeta and turns out his damage was equivalent to about a 20 mil crit in todays meta, which was only 1 to 1.5 health bars on the dokkan events back then and a handful of other units like Phy full power frieza, AGL god goku and Phy gotenks could come close to matching it. However, I remember using LR int gohan and literally one shotting all of the hardest fights in the game. A unit in today’s meta would need a 150+ mil crit super attack to match that.

It was thought that STR Gogetas stat boost being 7000+ was going to be an anniversary thing. That the headlining unit(s) would have the mega boost in stats. However, when Dokkan saw how dominant the unit was, they nixed that idea and just went with regular stat increases. If this is true or not, we will probably never know (given how young Dokkan was and how the developers weren't as experienced), but at the time, this was a popular thought.
TEQ SSJ4 Gogeta's EZA wasn't mid at all. He was amazing in every event. Especially against Redzone Broly he was insanely good and did insane damage at the time.
He couldn’t counter supers in his event (since it cancelled dodge) until they changed how SA Counters worked after he had already sort of aged

for ui goku the hardest event was the gt goku event, he was horrible in that event with goku being tec and nullifying dodge

Mad disrespect on the 3rd year anni lrs. The PHY gogeta and INT Vegito were crazy when they dropped. Especially the vegito was the best unit in the game by far and beign able to counter as an LR doing like 1 mil dmg counters at that time was mad. Also dont forget that around that time sbr dropped which was crazy hard back then and they cleared them easy.
Saying lr kale and caulifla were better than beast gohan on release is a bad take in my eyes because lr beast gohan performance wise isn’t just the best but his abilities to protect other units that can’t protect themselves makes him clearly stronger than lr kale and caulifla were on release

The biggest difference between the two is the abundance of options we have now. Beast might be op everywhere but there is a lot of options you could use if you don’t pull him, meanwhile, kc was .. well she was ridiculously good, like actually she could SOLO the game, and you either had her or you’ll STRUGGLE to do any content

I've been playing since 2016 (when STR Gogeta was destroying the entire game) and I honestly think that AGL Vegito should be #2 and the 2nd year anniversary ssj4's should be in the top 5 due to how much they gapped the game at that time (they jumped from 70% to 120% leader skills and were the first units to easily break over a million damage).
AGL super vegito definitely 2 or even debating 1 there was no unit in the game that can break his guard (verus normal attacks obviously) and what made so cracked was his attack back can finish the battle ur doing right then and there. No super attack needed just his counter attack

Can confirm that me and all my friends did indeed delete anyone who wasnt setting str gogeta to their friend lead. iirc at the time he was the only % lead in the game where everyone was all like +2 ki or soemthing and like 3000 atk
His original leader skill was Ki +3, Atk +3000 for all types. The Ki +3, Hp, Atk, Def +77% is his EZA leader skill. His EZA released after 120% leads came out (STR SSJ4 Goku, etc.)

Naaaah Teq Ulthan should be on the list over The Year 7 lrs, these lrs were the best unit im the game for their meta but bruh they still were getting washed by broly, and for Teq Gohan to exist in "the same realm" compared to them in terms of defense, there's no comparison, consistently total domination for over 2 years against the hardest bosses... and still runnable post the first cell max

I really have the feeling people haven't used Piccolo at all sometimes during the last 2 years, either that or their just unconscious.
He outlived the 8 anni meta while being the best unit in the game and also outlived both Gogeta and Broly.
When he first came out, you were able to kill every difficult boss in the game without it having the chance to ATTACK.
If you ran double piccolo in the same rotation, two giant forms activation were able to kill EVERY difficult boss in the game without him having the chance to attack, it's basically a cheat code! It became so bad that people stopped using him because of "guilt". If you see Truth's videos where he rans him, he almost never uses his giant because he would automatically win, basically ruining the fun.
Broly? A joke. AOE phase skipped and final phase could be killed by a SINGLE giant form.
Cell Max: could be killed with a single giant form.
Cooler Core: could be killed with 2 giants in one turn, making the final phase (the only threatening one) a joke.
Fusion Zamasu? That boss everyone complained about for MONTHS? He destroyed it ALONE.
9th anniversary content? No problem.
He still is the best unit in the game for the Super Buu Red Zone (he's the only one which can completely make the second phase unable to do anything, since beast doesn't counter AOEs).
Let me clarify: unit from 2 years ago, best unit in the game for new content.
He has no problems against Kid buu, as it can be also seen by Truth's showcase.
He has no problems against the new Supreme Battles, even if, as of now, he's starting to age: a super on first hit can deal some serious damage (still not enough to kill)
But, that's literally what I said. He's "STARTING" to age. He's not mid, not good, not great, he's still absolutely broken, unfair and a cheat: after he takes two hits he still tanks everything until the final phase which he completely negates.
Speaking of negating, he's also on the list for top character choice on the new Cell Max stage, since his Giant form counters Cell's mechanics. (Again, he's vulnerable on first hit, but those are some VERY LOW chances. There's more chance in him starting at slot 7 and negating the entire fight without being touched then him getting killed).
Meanwhile, K&C at 2 is completely crazy. Like, I know how powerful they were, but they were good on one literal stage and dropped off after the release of new content. Even then, characters like AGL SSJ2 Gohan weren't that far off from their level, he was even better in some cases. Like, the thing is, K&C and every other unit in this list is still a "unit".
While also being bugged, K&C still left other units vulnerable, they weren't able to oneshot the final phase no effort without items. Granted, units in these days were actually strong enough to resist, no bosses actually did 5 times your health with a super, even with 0 defense you couldn't die with a super.
But that's just makes Piccolo more impressive! He was able to completely save ANY UNIT in a meta that was 300 times worse and everything coming out was badly designed.
K&C were good, but they weren't making the boss unable to attack, they weren't breaking the RULES of the game, and same applies to every other unit after him except for Beast, which is No.1 imo.
Gogeta was high damage, utility (debuffs) and WAY too high value (being the leader of everything).
Vegito, 4 months after, was already better damage, defense, utility, and value.
2th Anni units, better damage, defense, value.
SSJ2 Gohan, way higher damage.
Blue Vegito, higher damage.
3th Anni unit, better damage, defense, value.
K&C, way higher damage, and the cycle continues. If anything, K&C is the same as SSJ2 Gohan in terms of value when coming out.
Meanwhile, Piccolo, had 2024 mechanics in the 2022 - 2023 unfair meta.
The fact that he survived 4 meta changes and STILL is here is just proof that he was wayy too ahead of his time, and I don't see him losing any value until 10th anni.

It’s often forgotten that their nerfed although it was more of a bug fix since their additional supers would launch at higher Ki than 12 which wasn’t intentional if I recall correctly

I think gt goku and ssj4 vegeta shouldn't be on the list and bump the year 7s up to 8, gt goku and ssj4 vegeta were an insane attack supporter and a revive mechanic all team helper but they weren't even the best on release technically (post-hoc analysis but if we look back at the teams, piccolo still was on power of wishes and helped nullify aoes)
