Even though Player was a one hit wonder band, the talent they had was just over the top, as in so many older music videos this is a live performance no remixing, just playing the song to perfection. Even after all these years, the song can reach out and grab you.

I know a couple of songs that definitely have this vibe from the early 70's. The group is Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds - Don't Pull Your Love, Falling In Love and Winners and Losers. They were big hits. I promise you Cece (and I'd put heavy money on it) that you'll love these ones!

The bassist Ronn Moss and guitarist/singer Peter Beckett two out of the 4 original members returned as PLAYER in 1996 with a new album "LOST IN REALITY " that included a new recorded version of "BABY COME BACK" . In 2017 Ronn Moss sued Peter Beckett over the bands trademark name . Becketts greed and ego caused the two men to settle in court but no longer play together. Now there's PETER BECKETTS Player and RONN MOSS' Player.
