Great video! I have replaced my diffuser (behind the door and water tank) and the valve assembly (the part with 5 tubes attached), but still my machine will not pump water through. When I remove the supply tube from the valve assembly, it will pump water through the open tube. Is it possible the pump cannot generate enough pressure and needs to be replaced? I would also replaced the nearby regulator just in case? Any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for this outstanding video. What is the most likely cause of excessive water dripping into the very small red "tray" in the front of the machine, visible when you slide out the grounds drawer? Thanks in advance for your help!
Is the water dripping next to it? If so, then the expansion chamber is probably very dirty and should be cleaned. This is the black cover over the heater on the left side of the machine.

Brilliant video and super informative! I have an ECAM250.33 TB it suddenly just wont go into "ready mode". I turn it on, all the lights flash for a long time, about 2 minutes. Then machine gives up and just shows a steady alarm triangle light. Do you know how i might try reset the machine before doing such a tear down for a deep clean up? or any other ideas of what the issue is? I tried cutting out power in the back, then turn back on and same issue. Thanks!
@@EvansMutai This is very strange, this error often appears on older machines as they wear out. For some reason the brew group cannot find the home position. This can have many causes, for example one of the microswitches is broken or the hall sensor. Maybe the inside of the coffee machine is dirty!? Try to reset and then thoroughly clean the inside of the machine.

Hello, I am in the middle of restoring an approx. 7 years old DeLonghi Magnifica S Cappuccino (ECAM22.360.S). It wasn't in a horrible state but upon taking it apart thanks to your instructions, we have found that both the infuser and the piston were very dirty and the piston was retaining and leaking water. I am awaiting the delivery of spare O-rings I ordered to replace the old ones and have already cleaned everything I possibly could. We are also planning multiple descaling sessions to make sure the system is clean and if any other issues are found, at least we know that this isn't the issue. Your videos have been instrumental to us being able to do this so thank you very much for making them available to us! I have two questions for you: 1) There is a mushroom valve in the piston (can be seen at 9:15 in the video), from which I am missing the silicone spacer within the spring (the mushroom head itself is still on the spring, just very compressed and will need changing). Do you know how I could replace this spacer (e.g. small silicone pin or similar)? Is it vital to the function of the piston or can it be omitted? Do DeLonghi even sell the whole valve at all at this point? (I am in the UK for context, I am happy to order from the EU if needs be/if you know a good source) EDIT: I have just realised that one of the piston springs is also cracked. Are any of these available anywhere? 2) Do you think it's worthwhile to take apart the transmission at this point, or should it be left until more significant issues occur with it? It seems to be dirty and needing some grease, but the machine still works, even before we took it apart, it just wasn't at its best due to the issues I wrote about above. Are transmissions in these machines a huge problem?
Hello, I order a lot from these online shops: juraprofi.de or komtra.de. You can get the two springs on eBay, for example: www.ebay.de/itm/2-stueck-Pressure-springs-for-den-Bruehkolben-DeLonghi-ECAM-ETAM-Kaffeevollautomaten-/324834160850?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid =p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=707-127634-2357-0. You can also use a piece of silicone tubing to replace the white spacer. If the transmission still works then you can leave it in. This never causes problems if the spindle has been greased regularly. Good luck with the repair!!
@@yt.myworks Hello, I'm sorry I missed your reply! Thank you very much for the links, I have actually ordered from the eBay seller and he delivered everything promptly. As far as the spacer, I have ended up ordering the whole spring but I will try to find some tubing for future repairs. The transmission, as far as I know, has not been greased at all over those years, but I will try to grease it from now on and hopefully it will be OK. I will report results soon. If not, I will refer to your vidoes for help :)
@@yt.myworks Hello, after full reassembly (I discovered a deformed o-ring within the raccord hose connector as per your other video, which I replaced), testing, descaling, and some tweaking of the grinder, I can happily report that the mechanism sounds smooth, the grinder gives 10g of grounds for extra-strong, the infuser makes rounded pucks of coffee, there is no water in the grounds container or in the red reservoir under the tray, and the machine pumps out 37ml of coffee at 90degC for one short that tastes just like the bean. Having replaced the O-rings in the steam vent, it also dispenses lovely smooth milk foam without sputtering. Other than some limescale that is still floating about in the system, I'm happy to report that the machine seems to be fixed up to standard again! Thank you once again for your fantastic videos, I wouldn't have been able to fix it without you! I learned something new and can now drink some nice coffee again so 10/10 😊
I just replaced the generator using your excellent video. However, it now leaks from every one of the hose insertions where I placed the small hoses. They are properly seated in the hole, and the brass ring is captured by the clips in every spot. Any ideas on what could be the problem? My original symptom was that instead of making a cup of coffee, water would just pour down inside the drain.

Entao eu fiz a limpeza e manutenção dele, mas nao adiantou muito. Agora persiste em dizer "alarme genérico" nao faço a minima ideia do que seja. Hello, I think that the transmission is already worn out and the brewing group cannot find the right position. There is already a repair video from me about this problem. Unfortunately, the repair is quite time-consuming as you have to dismantle almost the entire machine. The transmission can also be replaced with a new one. There will be a new video on the topic next week. th-cam.com/video/HZ8oQUGtPjc/w-d-xo.html
@@yt.myworks obrigado. Fico triste por saber que o problema é demorado e delicado. Tenho muita dificuldade em fazer reparos complexos. Irei assistir o seu vídeo algumas vezes para tentar fazer corretamente o reparo.
Many thanks for sharing such excellent videos the issue I have have when I turn the machine off the infuser is in the correct position for extracting but the two levers are in the wrong position I'm manually moving those with my fingers to get the brew unit out the other issue is the pox aren't being ejected and they build up in the infuser and then block and coffee won't come out any ideas on how to repair this fix your help is very much appreciated
There are two possible causes for this problem, either the brew group was assembled incorrectly or the lever on the machine broke off. Here is my other video how to properly assemble the brew group: th-cam.com/video/WsfIidlbfEs/w-d-xo.html
Hi myworks! Great video and I'm finally taking your lead to restore my own Delonghi. When ultrasonic cleaning, do you use a powder like Cafiza or just water? Also, do you think a cheap ultrasonic cleaner from Amazon will be powerful enough? Thanks for your help to Delonghi owners.
I use washing soda powder to clean the parts, but Cafiza is very good. I do not recommend an ultrasonic device for cleaning a couple of parts. It is best to use small cleaning brushes amzn.to/3zT95Sa
Thanks for this awesome video! It really helps to provide some insight. I have an Eletta and I now have a problem where it does not indicate low water level. I can use it and you will hear the pump going dry. Once it is off and you switch it back on, it will say low level and water circuit empty and then you have to bleed. Also, I am assuming it uses the same input to let you know once your descaling cycle is complete as it doesnt anymore and I need to then switch off the machine once done. Do you perhaps know what input these coffee machines use to indicate low water level? i would like to replace that part.
Hi, I recently had such a machine with the same problem and tried different things. In the end, it turned out that the magnet in the water tank had lost its power. Unfortunately, this cannot be replaced, so I recommend buying a new water tank.
@yt.myworks thanks a lot for the info. I will definitely do so. So the magnet is that little slider in the tank that rises as the water rises and drops with the usage of water? Is see it is molded in, hence the need for a new tank...
Very helpful video. Thank you for posting. I hope it will help me as well. My machine is no longer frothing well. The pressure coming out of the frother is very uneven; it fluctuates and goes up and down and it's very weak. Even when set to water only, it barely poors water but I otherwise don't think it's a pump issue since it still looks like it poors a normal coffee; it's just having problems when it goes on the frother side. Any idea what could it be? Hoping it's valve issue.
David Gifford: Please check out my other video for "DeLonghi Maintenance". At 2:08 minutes you can see where the spring is mounted. I also changed the o-rings. th-cam.com/video/OJWguSgyf4c/w-d-xo.html
Hi I've fixed my delonghi Ecam (similar to one in your video) by putting a new thermal fuses and now waking fine but when putting the milk frother and trying to make cappuccino it tells me "Turn Froth Dial on",I cleaned the frother and turned the froth dial left and right but still the same message comes up, any ideas? Thanks
Great video. I have a ECAM23 460.s which is very similar to this machine. The hot water has stopped running through the spout and therefore the throth maker. Do you have any idea what it could be? I've tried to take the spout out to clean but its not easy. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this video; you did a fantastic job!. Maybe you could help me understand something im struggling with I have a problem with my Delonghi Dinamica. After accidentally adding 2 cups of pre-ground coffee, the water doesn't come out anymore. I tried to take apart the machine, but I didn't find the issue, so I gave up and wanted to take it to service. However, when I put everything together again, I failed to see where the little spring with the 2 small silicon pieces on your top right at 9:46 should be. Can you please try to explain or show where it should be? Thank you very much in advance!
Hi, thank you for the detailed instruction of the machine restoration. When I work on a coffee machine I like to do proper job, as you, but as business, there is no time for a such comprehensive job, when you have 10 calls/day....by the way, I like your washing thing, can you tell me the brand? I want something like that for small cleaning parts. Thanks
Thanks for the great words! I have a cheap ultrasonic cleaner "Medion" from the discounter. For professional use, I recommend to spend more money to get better cleaning results.
Great detailed video as always! I got a bit newer model of Dinamica and unfortunately grinder do not work. Where do you recommend to start inspecting it? What could cause this issue? Unit brew the coffee using pre-ground with no problem. Thank you for any advice!
Very nice job, great cleaning and video skills. I repaired mine several times, but never took it totally apart. I have a question. I am repairing this machine for a friend. The problem is that the elevator is not coming to the down position, ready to make coffee. It stops in the middle and I get the error symbol. Sometimes he makes it to the bottom, and you can get a cup of coffee. Do you know what could be the problem and how to fix this? By the way, did you know that if the thermoblock stops working, it is probably the heat fuse that is broken. Small cheap part that’s soldered to the thermoblock.
@@yt.myworks thanks for the advice, I will do that. Maybe this is a nice project to do the same maintenance as you showed in the video. I never took one totally apart.
If the brewing unit moves up and then back down to the middle position with the warning light then it's either the micro switch on at the top or the reed sensor on the transmission. The machine can't detect that the brewing unit is there (isn't pressing the switch at the top) or the values from the transmission sensor don't match those of the switches being pressed.
This video is a lifesaver. Exactly what I've been looking for! A bit anxious to start my own tune up. Our machine has been acting weird lately. Can't complete a descale, loud pump noises when the tank is near empty and empty tank light wont come on. We get the steam light instead. During descale only milk frother is pushing water through. No descale of the coffee spouts. Any suggestions on the potential issue?
I think the problem is the water tank, if the floating magnet in the water tank loses strength the machine doesn't recognize when the water tank is empty. In this case, the water circuit draws in air and the pump becomes noisy.
👏🏾 great job. I have a problem with my Delonghi Dinamica plus. Ecam 370.95.T the device gave a short circuit when switched on. do you have a video for that. replace the motherboard?

I had one from a friend who looked to scrap it .Doesn't work of course but i will try to fix it. The engineer told is ERROR message on the electrical .I looked to diffuser and the rings are worn but with some life in them. What silicone you use for rings? Is a great video and I hope to fix my espresso machine too.
I use OKS 1110 silicone. Good luck with the repair.
I bought a brand new one for 300 Euro! and I cant still operate it.🙃.. Wow... amazing to see how you did this #respect X
Thanks for the great words 😉
Great video! I have replaced my diffuser (behind the door and water tank) and the valve assembly (the part with 5 tubes attached), but still my machine will not pump water through. When I remove the supply tube from the valve assembly, it will pump water through the open tube. Is it possible the pump cannot generate enough pressure and needs to be replaced? I would also replaced the nearby regulator just in case? Any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
I would try to replace the generator - you could try cleaning it first.
Good work

Wow! you take it to the next level! :) Now how about direct tap water connection kit? That would sell like hotcakes! :)
When I've opened the grinder at the top it resulted in a small spring and bearing ball falling off could you tell me where does it fit? Thx
Hello, watch my other video th-cam.com/video/Dk8_id4x7E4/w-d-xo.html
@@yt.myworks thx, the pieces that i found was from some other appliance, because in order to get all the beans out of the grinder I've flipped the machine... Now it works.

Great video, with the part removed at 08:23 do you have any more detail for rebuilding it?
Have a small 2 part plastic transparent bit with a spring that I think goes under the part where the washer sits as an oblong/oval shape. Can't get it to go back in, unless it doesn't go there?
I will make a detailed video of the part. Can you send me pictures? Maybe I can help you.
@@yt.myworks thanks but I've fixed it now. It went in the other hole next to the one I was trying to fit it in. Machine is working great 👍
Could you please share the photo? I can't seem to find the right spot.
Great video. My grinder was jammed so got that fixed by cleaning it. The coffee is weak and now it is not making pucks and the grounds are wet and coarse. Any ideas?
Hello, here is my other video about grinder: th-cam.com/video/Dk8_id4x7E4/w-d-xo.html In the second half of the movie you can see how the grinder can be set.
@@yt.myworks all working now thanks to you!
Very useful thanks
Brilliant video and super informative! I have an ECAM250.33 TB it suddenly just wont go into "ready mode". I turn it on, all the lights flash for a long time, about 2 minutes. Then machine gives up and just shows a steady alarm triangle light. Do you know how i might try reset the machine before doing such a tear down for a deep clean up? or any other ideas of what the issue is? I tried cutting out power in the back, then turn back on and same issue. Thanks!
How old is the machine and how many coffees have been made?
@@yt.myworks just 1.5 years, at about 2 coffees a day that's just about 1000 coffees
@@yt.myworks thanks for the insight. Ok will give it another thorough cleanup. How do i reset the machine?
@@EvansMutai Simultaneously press the "On/Off", "One cup" and "Two cups" buttons while plugging the fully automatic machine back into the socket. Release the buttons when the one-cup, two-cup and steam indicators flash simultaneously. The DeLonghi coffee machine then performs the reset.
Thank you Bro
Your video has been very precious 💯
A job well done👍
I have two questions for you:
1) There is a mushroom valve in the piston (can be seen at 9:15 in the video), from which I am missing the silicone spacer within the spring (the mushroom head itself is still on the spring, just very compressed and will need changing). Do you know how I could replace this spacer (e.g. small silicone pin or similar)? Is it vital to the function of the piston or can it be omitted? Do DeLonghi even sell the whole valve at all at this point? (I am in the UK for context, I am happy to order from the EU if needs be/if you know a good source)
EDIT: I have just realised that one of the piston springs is also cracked.
I learned something new and can now drink some nice coffee again so 10/10 😊
Wonderful great video 👍

I just replaced the generator using your excellent video. However, it now leaks from every one of the hose insertions where I placed the small hoses. They are properly seated in the hole, and the brass ring is captured by the clips in every spot. Any ideas on what could be the problem? My original symptom was that instead of making a cup of coffee, water would just pour down inside the drain.
With generator is meant brew unit piston? Did you use new o-rings? The seals should be lightly greased with silicone grease.
Você está de parabéns! Profissional excelente!.
Minha cafeteira apresentou problema, infelizmente.

@@HoBBLeCooKiE Yes, that's exactly how it is.
@@yt.myworks thanks a lot!!!
Hello, before you take the machine apart, try to descale it properly. One or two times in a row. Perhaps then the nozzle is free.
Hi impressive deep clean. You display a spring at 3.17, where does it fit? Did you also replace infuser piston O-rings?
David Gifford: Please check out my other video for "DeLonghi Maintenance". At 2:08 minutes you can see where the spring is mounted. I also changed the o-rings.

Hi
I've fixed my delonghi Ecam (similar to one in your video) by putting a new thermal fuses and now waking fine but when putting the milk frother and trying to make cappuccino it tells me "Turn Froth Dial on",I cleaned the frother and turned the froth dial left and right but still the same message comes up, any ideas?
Thanks
It could be that the micro switch is not working properly. Check the small switch on the connector from the milk container.
Thanks for the video
I’d like to do such maintenance on Dinamica 255.15
Any maintenance kits available? where to find?
@olivier simard there are lots of maintenance kits available from amazon or ebay. See also my links in the video description.
Hi, thanks for the great video. Is that silicon grease you used on the o-rings at 5:49?
Great video. I have a ECAM23 460.s which is very similar to this machine. The hot water has stopped running through the spout and therefore the throth maker. Do you have any idea what it could be? I've tried to take the spout out to clean but its not easy. Thanks
It could be that one of the solenoid valves is no longer working properly.
Thanks for sharing this video; you did a fantastic job!.
Maybe you could help me understand something im struggling with
I have a problem with my Delonghi Dinamica.
Thank you for any advice!
first check whether the grinder is not blocked. Here is another video about this issue: th-cam.com/video/Dk8_id4x7E4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the great words. I haven't had this bug yet. I recommend running a test mode so you can see if all microswitches are working properly.
@@yt.myworks You were absolutely right! Thank you for your help and knowledge. After watching your videos. I think I should do a deep clean!
👏🏾 great job.
I have a problem with my Delonghi Dinamica plus. Ecam 370.95.T the device gave a short circuit when switched on. do you have a video for that. replace the motherboard?
Check if there is a leak inside the machine. That could cause the short circuit.
How do you clean the parts so good. What do you use?
Steve De Beukelaer: I use washing soda, descaler and warm water ;-)
@@yt.myworks ok thank you very much for the information. Your movie was excellent and helps me a lot. Thank you
