We should be conscious of our prayer,bible study and everything around our salvation,test every spirit.
Something I am catching from this story is this. It is said that the devil is powerful and sometimes it worries me because we are made to think that the devil is stronger than God. But I am also picking the notion that you can not be lured to the devil or by him against your will or just like that. There are signs and red lights and you must be willing to listen to the still small voice. God loves his children and if they listen to him he will help you discern what is right and wrong. John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice...I know them and they follow me. Listen to God and know him for yourself and he will safe you from the snare of the enemy. Know that the devil is a counterfeit and be very sober and alert not to fall a prey. May God help us all in these last days
This is exactly what is described in the bible in Acts 8: 9-11
[9]But there was a man named Simon, who had formerly practiced magic arts in the city to the utter amazement of the Samaritan nation, claiming that he himself was an extraordinary and distinguished person.
[10]They all paid earnest attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is that exhibition of the power of God which is called great (intense).
[11]And they were attentive and made much of him, because for a long time he had amazed and bewildered and dazzled them with his skill in magic arts.

It is sad that this lady still believes the prophet had imaginary powers but this is very common among cult followers. It is also unbelievable that she believes that while still in the cult she was praying and fasting faithfully. I have dealt with former cult followers but the first genuine step is accepting that one has erred and then seeking true salvation when switching to a new fellowship that follows the written Word of God.
This is an eye opener lets trust in the Lord..
