Those aren't even second-rate store toys, and are more like "Chinese flea market on the crap side of town" toys.

I'm sure I've seen a few of those at my local Revco back in the eighties. They had a whole aisle of those rack-toys back in the day. But yeah, I can't remember any kids around the block playing with those either. I bet they broke on the way home.

Both the Gargoyles & Skeletons packaging coloring and logos look like those of the 90's Gargoyles & Skeleton Warriors toy lines.

Those Gargoyle figures are great! They would be perfect for army builders in Skeletor's minions.

I gotta get me some of them skull fuckers! Yeah, Sargent Carter had an awesome flat top. You could put your beer down on that guy’s head! I reckon if you pull Prime Time’s hood down, his face would look like Silver Surfer, from all that paint he’s huffin’.

I remember being in a theater seeing the trailer for Disney's Hunchback and people were laughing at a singing Hunchback. A sign of things to come.

These look like the toys your grandma would buy you at the dollar store (Family Dollar or Dollar General) for Christmas or your birthday when they don’t know what to get you, especially those Gargoyle Protectors and Skull Force. You’d ask for some MOTU figures and you’d end up with these.

Can't imagine there are many of us left who know about or used to watch Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. But yeah, the hair-cut on that gargoyle was spot on.

  • @jeffreycoogan09
    @jeffreycoogan09 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@That Junkman That was ''Frank Sutton'' who played (Gunnery Sergeant Vince Carter) on Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C..
But you know what would have been really cool? If when your Dog came into the room? He explained to everyone that ''The Hunchback of Notre-Dame'' AKA (Notre-Dame de Paris) is a classic French Gothic novel that was first published in 1831. And was written by French author ''Victor Hugo''. Hugo's other famous works include Les Misérables (The Miserables) 1862, Les Contemplations (The Contemplations) 1856 and La Légende des siècles (The Legend of the Ages) 1859. And he could have also explained that there have been several movie adaptations of ''The Hunchback of Notre-Dame'' over the past 100+ years. The first of which was the 1905 French short silent film (Esmeralda). And the two most well known and notable being the 1923 silent film which starred (Lon Chaney Sr as Quasimodo) and was directed by Wallace Worsley. And the 1939 film which starred (Charles Laughton as Quasimodo) and (Maureen O'Hara as Esmeralda) and was directed by William Dieterle.
Those (Gargoyle Protector) action figures kind of reminded me of the Gargoyles from a 1972 CBS made-for-television film {Gargoyles}. That starred ''Cornel Wilde'', ''Scott Glenn'' and ''Bernie Casey'' as (The King Gargoyle). 😈 Oh. by the way! That one creepy looking Orange (Skull Force) action figure ...Reminded me of John (Till I Kissed You) Kincade. 💋😯 FYI-That was actually a cover of the {The Everly Brothers} 1959 classic song of the same name.

Cool Blake's 7 shirt! There were a ton on MOTU size/compatible figures in the 80's but yeah, not many of these are very cool. What were they thinking!?

The Hunchback figure set is based on a cartoon movie which isn’t that bad and I might add I may hav the Hunchback figure.

I've seen a lot of bad knockoffs in my day, but these things take cake, talk about crappy. it's like they didn't even try with these things.😆

Skull Force! So that's what they're called. I had every one of those figures. I bought them from the Everything's a Dollar at the local mall back in the mid 80's. They had bins of them. Those skeleton arm accessories broke very easily as the fingers (phalanges) were made of brittle plastic, but the finger tips were quite sharp and I remember getting scratched the first time I played with one (against my Other World figures). I had at least 3-4 of the white skeleton figures, in addition to one of each of the others. Everything's A Dollar had a lot of weird knock-off toys over the years, but Skull Force was actually quite awesome! Thanks for sharing!

    These are fun. :)
I especially like the He-Man type figure with the black body and the regular skeleton at the end.
These definitely need horses, but I think they would go great on both MOTU cats.
It'd be great if you had a whole bunch of these and had them pouring out of Castle Grayskull defending their king or (queen) Evil-Lyn.
Have a couple up in the top manning the turret and stuff. That would badbutt fer sher. :) 💀
    Thanks for the video
