I Can HEAR Them In YOUR Floor! | MASSIVE Yellow Jackets Nests!

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 30 พ.ค. 2024
- In this video I remove 2 MASSIVE Eastern Yellow Jackets Nests from 2 separate houses! This species is Eastern Yellow Jacket, Vespula maculifrons, which are typically a subterranean yellow jacket species, but these two queens decided to build their colonies inside a house wall and flooring structure!
There are many silly ways to kill a yellow jackets nest, but this is a professional wasp nest removal/extraction, and the ONLY professional yellow jacket nest extraction content on TH-cam.
Once the nest is removed, and Im finished appointments for the day, I bring the nests home, and fed them to my Emus, Chickens, and Rhea!

Thank you so much for removing the wasps from my floor!!! Happy to be able to sleep in my bedroom without worrying about getting stung anymore :D So happy too to see the birds enjoying the nests.
No kidding!
And you have a free hidden compartment now😂
Wasn’t there a crawl space?
You're lucky to see this great man do the job for you.
Hornet 🐝 King baby !! 🎉🎉🎉
The "show me inside the vacuum" gets me every time
Where are these guys!? Haha scrolling down the chat looking for them
Woah whoa! WHOA!
A few months back I got stung by a yellow jacket on my eyelid in the cavity. Since then I’ve had an extreme phobia that I didn’t know I had u til a wasp flew by me a week later! I’m using ur channel to help me conquer my fears again. I really appreciate what u do and how u do it I love watching u feed ur birds after and the way u talk to them. I love it and it helps take the fear and panic away! Thank u! Stay safe x
I can appreciate that. I was on a swing as a child and must’ve accidentally swung too close to a nest and I got stung all over my scalp. I remember it hurt. Never really appreciated bees since: “if it flies, it dies”. Since watching this channel, I’ve become a lot more tolerant of single flying bees/wasps.
I was running a farmer's market selling maple stuff and one of the little fucks was in my water bottle, stung my lip when I took a drink.
It's less fear and more malevolent hatred for me lol
It wouldn't give me a phobia it would give me an intense desire to genocide all yellow jackets on the planet. 😡
😱😱😱😱😱 holy s**t
I got stung on the chin by a red wasp. My face was so swollen. My Dr. prescribed me a steroid and it cleared right up. I’d never seen myself look like that. I didn’t even recognize myself
Amazing content, as always. However, I can't unsee the floorboards being put back backward in the first removal, haha.
Or did I 😉
@@HornetKingOfficialbut you did tho. Unless you fixed it off cam
@@quinn2826 bingo
@@HornetKingOfficial Well then you have to go back! Undo them, put them in backwards, go back to your truck, pull out the camera, go back in and film you correcting the mistake, and then go back home!
The life of a TH-camr : D
Haha I caught that too
Doris is hilarious. When she heard the plane overhead, she froze in place, and the look on her face.😶..It was if she was thinking, if I don't move, they'll think I'm a statue. Great video. 👑👑👑
Haha 😂
@@HornetKingOfficial You need one named Limu!
I'm happy the homeowners have relief from the colony on their respective properties. They can start a colony pretty quickly without knowing they're present. This past summer we had wasps attempt to build their nest under our rv, but since we live here full time making enough noise plus checking frequently deters them. You do such a great job, making customers happy with your thorough removal and caring for them and their safety.
The emus look so prehistoric! Such beautiful and healthy looking chickens.
Dude: "Hello sweety-birdies"
Mini-Trex: "Am i a joke to you?!"
Always good content. Clean, family friendly... We need more of this.
Except for what the TH-cam auto-captions think his channel name is, yeah! 😂
@@RryhhbfrHhgdHhgd356yea that’s supposed to be my title
@@RryhhbfrHhgdHhgd356 Ok that really made me laugh
@@RryhhbfrHhgdHhgd356😳
Cute little voice he uses with his birds. Makes me smile.
Honestly, wasps and Hornets scare the hell outta me, but you have made my phobia much more tolerable. Educational and interesting content in all of your videos. Keep up the fantastic work and greetings from Nottingham, U.K!
your connection to the birds is so heart warming ❤😊
Wow this was almost the exact situation as at my parent's - plaster walls that are literally humming and we have no clue how to get to them without tearing the house up. She's allergic and there are wasps everywhere
Thanks for posting!! Love the birdies! Who is the one with the feathers on her legs? She's beautiful!
Thanks!
That's Aunt Becky
I know it’s not the way the @HornetKingOfficial does it, but I have an older house too with plaster and lath; I’ve had luck with using a puffer wand and Delta dust at their entrance. The foragers will bring in the dust around the nest and kill the colony, though sometimes you’ll need a second application. Either do it with a bee suit or at night quickly. About 5-6 puffs should be sufficient you don’t need a whole lot.
Complete teardown. Build a better house next time yo
I had the same problem. There was no opening inside of the house, but I could hear them buzzing like crazy just beneath a basement window. I could see them coming and going outside of the window. So I made a small hole inside and sprayed between the drywall and the outside with a big can of wasp spray till the buzzing stopped. Then I sprayed Great Stuff inside the hole till I could see it coming out of the hole outside the house. I entombed the entire Yellow Jacket nest plus added a little more insulation.
Always a good day when the Hornet King blesses us with another awesome video! 🙌
I've got a nest of those guys. In a raised bed holding my raspberries and blackberries. Found them after bumping that box with the a lawn mower. But they chilled like as soon as I backed away from their entry hole. Only stung once. They've done a nice job keeping the other critters from chewing up my garden. I'm letting the nest finish their cycle and then I'll pull it out after 2nd or 3rd hard frost.
I love the ending with the hens. It's almost like you can hear them say: "uuh daddy's home, and he has goodies in his bag"❤😂
12 appointments? Damn, our King's a busy man!
That’s awesome he has that many appointments! I wonder what he charges for each removal? $100? That seems fair. If that’s the case he’s making bank!
Anyone else seeing WAY more wasp nests this year compared to last year?
Not any 😂
It's usually due to the weather--if the winters are weak and short, there's gonna be more wasps, bcs the queens hibernate over winter. If it's cold they don't survive. Similarly, if the summer is hot, there will also be more of them.
I really appreciate you filming these removals for us to watch. Thanks
I totally appreciate the work you do! For people allergic to these insects, you potentially are saving lives‼️
Thanks.
10:37 lmao this is the exact voice I picture in my head when I see people constantly asking for something you do plenty of times.
Your videos are always quality! I couldn't imaging sleeping in that room knowing there's a large nest below the floorboard. Great job locating the nest and removing the yellowjackets.
The second group wasps legit said “we’re in your walls” 💀
Their in the floors, *THEIR IN THE GODDAMN FLOOR!*
I've seen them through walls and ceilings. But the floor? Wow.
I said the same thing now I'm more aware
4:15 That poor Yellow Jacket was just doing some research on your phone to see if he wants to go with the same model when his upgrade is available 😂but for real I'm surprised how resourceful these guys are and the crazy tiny spaces they can make their nests, when I was a kid my Dad had me on his shoulders walking through the woods and he stepped on huge ground hornet nest, we were like 2 miles into the woods from our house and he had to Usain Bolt back home with me screaming bloody murder the whole way back (I was 4 btw) we each only got stung like 15 times which is surprising because the amount that came out looked like way more. To be completely honest I am still terrified of any kind of Bees/Wasps/Hornets to the point where all my friends just think I'm allergic bc that is what I used to tell everyone as an excuse to go inside when one was hovering around where we were sitting.
Look up texas bee keeper and itll help.
Thank you for having so much respect to do this stuff.😉
Oh my god, I haven't watched in a good while and was not expecting to see rheas or emus! So glad you're doing well and I love your little flock
Emus and rheas are such fascinating creatures. They look positively prehistoric.
you put the floor back the wrong way. the top piece should go down and bottom peice up. its not alligning with the floor. :D
Love that you feed them to your animals. That way nothing goes to waste in the end.
The birds get there meals and they must be real happy
You read my mind again on having me hear the buzzing and swarming of the yellow jackets theres an eastern yellow jacket nest at my parents in the back yard in west st Paul they constantly go in side of a certain entrance at home they go in during the rain fortunately the nest is in the back yard as a ground nest best regards Nikita.K
Bros evicting them without notice 💀

HAHA
I love your voice when you talk to the emus, it's amazing!
The chickens following you from inside the fence 🤣 and the squirrel voice when you empty the vacuum 😂
Those are some intense nests and its very satisfying to watch them! Amazing they can be hiding anywhere and you can detect them, my grandparents had 3 nests in their back yard, 2 Bald face hornet nests, one behind a shed and one on our railroad signal and then giant yellow jackets nest in a shed we keep model trains. Great videos and very informative, keep it up! I watched your videos and I could identify them
Those easterns swarm like crazy. Good to know that the birdies will receive the goodies. Love the new additions. What are the gray speckled little guys with Aunt Becky and Uncle Jessie? Love the PA farm show where I get to see the different varieties.
I love watching you feed your chickens
Im always so awed and impressed by your bravery. For reals, great job!
Love your vids mate keep up the good work 😊
I’ve always watched these videos with the volume low to off and I didn’t know until today you’re in PA. I’m from Franklin county and now I’m just a tiny bit upset because I didn’t realize wasps made such big nests here
Lol. Don’t worry, I’m sure there isn’t one right above you right now!
In PA/KY/WV/IN/OH...wasps make some respectable nests and pretty damn quick too.
@miakoda5414 I live in Forest County and this year was crazy for wasps and yellow jackets!
@@sandywa3057 Same here in western OH. Bees near garbage cans and jackets everywhere else. Guessing last winter was weak; had that -10 for a few days right before Christmas and the remainder was November weather until April. Again, it's a guess.
I'm in northeast PA in the Poconos, and yes wasps make some pretty good sized nests here. Last year we had a pretty good sized queen cell inside the cap of our propane tank. It startled me but I was already ready from personal experience and watching here. I also have a little bit of experience from when my child was in 4H entomology too.
Man i love the way you talk to your animals its frickin adorable and you can tell how much you care about them
You did a great job with all those layers. I would like to thank you so much for doing that. And we need more people like you of course, I'm not that person but you did it for. But you are amazing
I got Apiphobia all the way back as a toddler when I stumbled across a wasp nest in an abandoned birdhouse at a daycare I went to. This was before I was even in preschool, I'm 22 now and I still remember that exact place solely because of the wasps.
Your profession are superheroes to sting victims like me.
Uncle becky and aunt jesse just gave me full house vibes, new sub
CC just keeps putting “horny king” lmfao
I still have a horrible fear of them. Like I cannot be in the proximity of them without having a panic attack.
But I deeply enjoy your channel and you honestly become my favorite channel. Keep up gods work lmao
I love how you talk to your birdies! ❤
11:26 now that's huge chicken paws!!!
Thank you so much for showing us what’s inside the vacuum
I haven’t been around for a bit, I was unaware you had Emus now but this is a tremendous development in the hornet kingdom
I love your birdies. I always find your videos interesting.
I hope Doris wasn't too scared. My dog is petrified of planes and motorbikes.
Haha, nah, she's just a pesky birdie 😊

Hi Hornet King!
Huge fan of your wasp nest removal videos and I was wondering how you’re always able to locate the Queen so easily. All the Yellow Jackets look the same to me so it’s impressive that every video, you find the Queen almost instantly.
Also, did you stop spraying the wasp nests with Black Flag? When I first started watching you many years ago, you would usually spray some Black Flag after you do the wasp nest removal. Do you not use Black Flag anymore to kill the remainder of the foragers?
I mentioned spraying spider and scorpion spray into the floor cavity.
I never spray the nests with black flag.
You’re killing my OCD! You put those floorboards in backwards just to give me nightmares 😛😛😛😛🤣🤣🤣
Or did I? 😉
I appreciate the work you do and seeing your birds enjoying the yellow jacket nests. Seems quite humane.
Watching these I just wonder why hasn't It been made into a TV show yet I think id be fun to watch in more detail and a longer format learning more about the process and removals
Did you notice you put the floor in backwards. I thought I only did stuff like that!! Lol
Haha or did I? 😉😁
You did! Joints don't line up.@@HornetKingOfficial
My OCD went to 11 when I saw that. Glad someone else out there also has issues. Great vid@@chriscat9
@@chriscat9But what happened after the camera was turned off? 🤔
@hornetKingOfficial I see now..
All the birds come gathering around when they see him coming. They know it's dinner time.
I remember when my father took a basketball sized nest out of our siding once lol
I saw on another channel they vacuum up the wasps alive and donate them to a lab that uses the venom to make anti-venom for allergic people. I was wondering if you ever looked into that or if it would be difficult for you to do alone vs a team of people doing this. Thanks!
You replaced the flooring in opposite order.
Pretty sure it’s too late now

Peace and Love to you and yours! ❤
9:21 why did you put in the boards backwards? The fat board goes with the fat strip and same for the skinny board
Or did I 😉
The boards got put back in reverse order 9:10 😢
Haha they are getting pulled back up and reset anyway when all the wasps are dead.
Saw that too - my mind was going "was i the only one that saw that".
As an old floor maker - I was waiting to see how he would repair the damage 😂
Let me say it like this, i would have done it differently.
It has no support on the left side anymore.
@@beastfr0meast93 oh here we go 😅
@@HornetKingOfficial uhh oh, what have I started
@@Batmann_ It's alright, those two boards are drawing out the TH-cam wood working "professionals" who are commenting and driving the algorithm. Im for it 😂
Unbeknownst to them, that off camera I reset them and applied duct tape over the cracks to seal it.😅
Yep. Can remember something similar when I was in primary school, in a temporary building with wooden floors and some kind of cladding on the outside. At some point wasps had breached the cladding (or just found a way in underneath the cladding, the building being temporary meant the cladding did not reach all the way down to the soil everywhere) and had started to build a nest underneath the floor of one of the classrooms.
If you went into the classroom and went close to the spot where the nest was, you could hear them digging or whatever they were doing. I can still understand that the teacher was terrified they would someday breach the floor and get into the classroom. Still don't understand we had the guts to send someone in the classroom (and apparently no teacher understood what we were up to) to stamp the floor a few times, while many of us were watching outside how the swarm would start to swell shortly, to repeat that with someone else going in so the person who had just stamped the floor could see what was happening.
His voice feeding the birds is like the three stooges 😂😂
I would love to do this. But i would have to have one of them big thick marshmallow suits 😂 the kind they have on when they're going after tje Giant Asian Killer Hornets or whatever they're called 😂 yea im not looking it up
The male wasps: chillin
The female wasps: *performing the role of every single wasp*
Love watching your videos thank you so much. I’m glad I stumbled on your site.
The chickens are so epic
Just awesome sir! And you don't waste anything because of your farm animals. God bless you sir!
Nice video. Thx. You put the wood floor pieces reversed. LOL
I love the “comments voice” lmao “why don’t you ever show it?”

When I was a kid my dad had an encounter while mowing the lawn. I live in southeast Louisiana and they were of the gangster variety and they messed him up. Luckily he didn't have to go to the emergency room, but used a lot of caladryl.
Emus and chickens are super cute!
Did you really put back the planks wrong? 😂
I had an eastern yellow jacket nest in my bedroom wall and they broke through one night. We were able to get rid of them and I admire your work. That wasn’t an easy task.
