Damn, seeing these Superman Family books make me regret selling mine. I had a complete run of the Lois Lane title including the two Showcase books which were pricey. The Jimmy Olsen I didn't collect but it was a cool title though.
The Superman Family issues featured one new story and 2 reprints along with other features. The new story rotated between the 3 characters. This lasted until the dollar comics started.
I’ve always been curious about romance comic books. What was the readership demographic? I assume they were teen girls but since this was before my time, I never witnessed that demographic reading comic books.
I'm puzzled Jim. "Some reprints" in 1974 Superman Family? you said...? We know you collect the 100-page Specs that DC put out, yet you seemed unsure as to whether your early Superman Family issues were predominately reprints. Of course they were: the lead story was new, rotating between Lois, Jimmy, and Supergirl -- and like the other 100-pagers of ongoing series, ONLY the lead story was new. The reprint dominance continued for Supes Family until the Dollar Comics issues (1977-on), which were all-new. But you knew that, right? Jenette Kahn was an all-new proponent. 2 other notes: Date with Debbi was a separate, companion series to Debbi's Dates, there was no title "change." And your Giant issue of Lois Lane was not an "80-page" giant; they were down to 64/68 pages by that time. Again you knew that -- it must be nervousness or lack of sleep...? I know you rarely reply, but I was really astounded of how unsure you were of the reprint setup for those 100-page SF issues.
Untamed Love #1 (and only) reprints Frazetta stories, well worth hanging onto that and enjoying it.
Very cool comics.
I wish I could find stuff like this.
Someday, romance comics will be appreciated for how hard they are to find, especially in better condition.
Great video. Thanks
Did you create your own issue spreadsheet or do you use a particular software program?

Those ones I haven’t read as much as some of the other superhero titles. Thanks for the info.
