In your balista run you failed because of math issue, you could simply calculate mana usage per second by multyplying fire rate (rpm/60) and mana per shot, then comparing it with your mana gain. You could see that you use several times more mana than you get instead of just building couple siphons and saying "let's see"
These Vampire Towers are nuts, used it along with the respec mod to narrow down my card options so I could focus on the Vamp Tower and FrostKeeps. Got to around 50 in endless I think, I can't recall but it was the furthest I'd ever gotten, what got me was the immediate lag from all the text, calculations and whatnot after I started spamming them on as many +3's and above
My turn please Mr Wibo. Do the ballista spam with heavy economy and max universities. Go for the mod with more mobs to give you more gold for spam and unis. Please give it a couple of tries. I think this strategy would smash even 3-lanes, especially if you mod out the talents that is not ballista and economy related. I'm rooting for you! 🎉 Love the content!
@@WiboActual just do what feels correct. Ballistas around all the houses are good. Sometimes you get a shit map gen with only bad +3 spots, but they should still be a consideration. The +3 is surprisingly strong if you consider tens of ballistas. But the universities are really where the +3 gets that exponential goodness.
Mana banks are way better than siphons for the long run, since they scale so well with sorcery and the 1%/kill upgrade, and are not dependent on RNGesus's blessing
Well to be honest I thought I had it turned off to get achievements I wasn't trying to get them. But in the config editor you can turn on and off the achievements.

I think the thing that makes this tower so good is the fact that the AOE is to all enemies in range not in a small area like the mortar.
Please try using the shredder. It will be nuts if it can shoot multiple saw blades

Challenge idea: No manual leveling of tower. So basically balista spam. Should be possible if you go heavy into universities
What do universities do?
Add basic stats to all towers. Fx. +1 dmg to armor. It's random but powerful
