    Spot on, we have to enjoy it. I started at 41 so no dreams of doing anything with it other than creating a little harmony between work life and personal well being. I share the sessions to show people that if I can do it anyone can.

    that kickflip was honestly perfect. you just need more confidence, and you'll do just fine. you're doing everything right, just start to believe a little more and things will come easier.

    • @iamlazyskater
      @iamlazyskater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man yup I'm a low confidence skater thats for sure. I've been improving mentally recently but thats probably the hardest part of skateboarding for me. I think I'm capable of a lot more but need to get my head in the right place. Thanks for the advice 🙏

    I seem to remember a pro skater (I can't remember which one) telling someone that he always missed some of his first tricks at demos, just the get the crowd rooting for him to land stuff. Seeing the progression and achievement is often more interesting than the trick.

    • @iamlazyskater
      @iamlazyskater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That rings a bell. Pretty interesting strategy too. I’ll have to try and find out who it was! Thanks for watching

      @@iamlazyskater I probably heard it on the nine club. Watching Gonz fail to land a trick for 1:55 minutes is some of the most inspiring skating I’ve ever seen.

    I have the same thing with my axle stalls. I realized that my front shoulder wasn't committing and so it was leaning towards into the deck of the ramp instead of staying in line with the coping, or square with my board.

    • @iamlazyskater
      @iamlazyskater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup that’s definitely one of the main problems for me too. I think the other is leaning a little too far forward. That makes it difficult to pivot round because the board wants to land on the deck almost instantly

      @@iamlazyskater definitely feel the whole burnout thing, I feel like the best way to go is to let your board take you and just go with what feels natural to you that day.

    Appreciated this video m8. I wasn’t looking at your channel subs really when it started and was just playing some games in the background and when I looked I was surprised. You talk with a confidence and familiarity of someone with a much bigger audience. Good stuff bro and best of luck with your skate journey. Nice kicky also!

      @@iamlazyskater I actually set myself a target of 200 sessions in a 52 week period starting just before the end of the year. To force myself to go out there more and try to progress but now being 22 weeks in the grind is starting to get to me. I’ve definitely improved but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I’ve really had to force myself out sometimes and that the enthusiasm isn’t as high as it could have been.

  • @Threeflat
    @Threeflat ปีที่แล้ว

    Mate, as someone who has just started a channel documenting my progress. I’m finding that you just need to enjoy the process! Filming is cool and all but there is nothing like pulling up to a skatepark, jumping on the board and having fun.
    Keep ripping 🤙

    • @iamlazyskater
      @iamlazyskater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dont worry man I still find the time to do that too. I usually go out specifically on my own to film and then have sessions where I just skate too. Thanks for watching though and appreciate the comment 🙌

      Yo appreciate it! I actually got them from a shop called boohoo. I’ve no idea why but they’ve got some ‘skate’ jeans in their shop so decided to give them a go. I love the fit and they were cheap too. The only downside is they have a weird drawstring type belt with a plastic clip buckle and no belt loops…they always come loose!

    Hi Lazy, missing an axle stall is not a feeble, style and technic are most important, you can't call that shit a feeble, pls sir.

    • @iamlazyskater
      @iamlazyskater  ปีที่แล้ว

      How is that not a feeble lol. Back truck locked in, front truck on the deck. Thats a feeble. Sure accidental but its still what it is.

    • @Watsonskateboard
      @Watsonskateboard ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iamlazyskater Feeble is on the back truck and the board my good man, on a 1/4 like that one, the outside edge of one wheel might hit the deck and that is ok as long as the board is on the coping. Try feeble stall to fakie on a quarter and you will get what i mean.
