What i hate about dbl is the fact that the only thing that you can do in this game is literally pvp, the pve sucks in this game. But dokkan in the other hand is a pve game and you can choose what fight you wanna play, you’re not forced to play the newest fights all the time. But dbl forces you to only play pvp because the pve in it is just that bad 💀
from you posted this i still think the problem of powercreep is more a legends issue while there for dokkan and yes dokkan started very rough but imo the sync isnt the best but atleast its happening so were gonna get content and ontop of that the dodge argument i somewhat agree and disagree because if you have no dupes its practically 50% but if you do have dupes then its around 90% thats about it
I think Dokkan is an excellent game if you're looking for challenging bosses and a little bit of puzzle solving. I don't know about DBL. DBL doesn't even look good or have any kind of substance for me to want to play it.
@ LF godku is a unit that was considered “bad” because he wasn’t a broken character and was outshined by purple Gohan. If I’m being honest godku was pretty much balanced and should be a goal for most new units on dbl
I find DBL is impressive purely as a mobile game, which is likely because its one of the very few mobile games I've ever played. A very watered down Tenkaichi in your pocket? That is kind of impressive. Maybe a little less so considering Tenkaichi Tag Team predates it by 10+ years, but still.
These games are so much more enjoyable when you don’t derive enjoyment through having an incentive to win but instead through appreciating the more artistic things within the game, as with most things. I find this is harder to do with Legends since the main aspect of the game is pvp and the changing metas so even if you appreciate the art and stuff, power-creep is still gonna be poking at your sanity whenever the rng gods decide to shaft you for 3 celebrations and you have no other way of interacting with the units you want other than being endlessly pummeled by them at the hands of other people. With Dokkan, you can still use them in the friend system if you have decent substitutes which if you are a consistent player who doesn’t reroll, you’ll probably have thanks to the eza’s they drop to ease the impact of power-creep every celebration. Also the fact that in Dokkan you don’t really compete against anyone other than yourself unless you’re trying to beat records or compare boxes with friends. The fact that the game is so accommodating to both new and long time players allows you to sit back and appreciate the things like ost’s and animations/card arts without worrying about whether or not you’re gonna be screaming obcenities at your screen cuz your opponent is displaying unsportsmanlike behavior while beating you with the latest broken unit you weren’t lucky enough to pull. All in all. Both games have great things and if you can choose to focus on those great things, you’ll probably have a way better experience.
you're not complaining about "dragon ball games" you're complaining about gacha. Thats just what gacha games are. im biased towards dokkan, cus dokkan has been making strides to be better and it IS better, getting synced with jp, lots of stuff to do/grind. you said global "only has gogeta and janemba" when both of those are still some of the hardest events on jp. Gofrieza is really all we're missing. and the units we're missing on glb realistically make 0 impact towards the game. (talking about jiren) legends is ass cus its pvp and if you dont summon you get left behind dokkan will always be better because its a "go at your own pace game" rather than catch up with meta. yes theres meta, but if you play the game smart i.e dont summon on every banner, or throw 50 stones at every banner, and save for the best stuff in the game every year, you will have a way better time in the game.

I wish DBL becomes revamped to become a 2D Fighting game. Or we gain a new dragon ball mobile game that is 2D/2.5D so we can have fun instead of puzzle mess
@shockwave727 yeah good opinion but to me. They could do it like some fangames on the Google play store, it is legit good there. The games are mostly fine if you don't play em with internet.
I gave up playing dbl because of the whole "oh you didn't get the new unit? Too bad now you will get your ass beat by whales." I now only play dokkan but even then I'm not really feeling so great about the game. If anniversary treats me like shit then its over.

@ That is true cuz there’s a whole lot of characters to choose from and easy to get with the currency unlike Legends since when you basically complete every main mission/story there’s really nothing to do besides PVP. (And we know how bad PVP is in legends) Edit: Side note I realized how easy it is to get good units in Dokkan because the gacha isn’t as rigged as Legends 💀.
Such a shame dbl has very cool animations to be just a mobile game

Both good games in their own ways the combat is at least unique in dbl and Dokkan is more strategic which are both cool ways to play
