You can practice any of the moves they do. They've practiced for a long time to know what type of jump at what height at what speed will get them to where they need to be. This isn't luck, it's all practice. Yes this particular spot is for the first time, but the individual elements that make up the spot, they have practiced and done before. Incredible jump nonetheless and takes balls of steel.

The main thing that makes him rotate is his core pulling his torso down, his arms just make it easier
