Next year, they should alternate who goes first at each obstacle. Joey kinda got hosed with being the first each time
they did last to first from the second one. Joey was just dead last the whole comp unfortunately

Leader should jump first, if joint leader then it rotates.
Definitely gives you more confidence if someone else has already done it
In smaller climbing comps the participants have to sit with their backs to the wall so they cannot see the others attempts. I think the same thing here would be good.

Buuuuut..... I have a couple of ideas to revise the scoring...
0 points for declining a round.
1 point for attempting a round but failing (example - 23:08 is worth a point, surely! Considering some sat this out)
2 points for a step-out.
3 points for a mini slip or hop.
4 points for a wobbly stick. Feet stay stuck but upper body flails to stay in position.
5 points for the *perfect* rock-steady stick.

I'd even add a point for saving yourself staying dry if you keep on the platform, as opposed to just jumping off... though admittedly that strays away from the actual 'stick' of it all

One way to avoid the guinea pig problem would be to have one of the Storror guys (or any designated person who isn't actually competing) do it first, so everyone can see.

I also like the idea of a “no-sight” bonus of 1-2 points if you stick it going first. Watching others is such an advantage when everyone is good

Move the turn order by one every challenges and have as many challenges as competitors would be the easiest solution

The only recommendation I have is to mix up the order every challenge so that no one person is always first cuz like you said, these guys are so good, they only need to see it done once and they've pretty much got it. Great video though!!🤙

@@Benzy670 this reminds me of how Figure Skating score system is. The points are based on Grade of Execution(GoE).
I was thinking the same but then I realized some guys could get hurt by trying too hard not to fall into the water. So in my opinion they made the right decision not to award any points for saves
so it gets more points than staying on and stepping out?
@@dariusz.9119 this whole thing is up to personal discretion, and they do what they can to not get hurt as is. There’s no reason to think they’d start being more reckless than necessary for smaller feats
I love when crowds gather to watch you. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy when it’s just the lads, but the cheers are class. Makes it go from just the boys having fun to feeling like an official event and challenge. It’s good stuff

Great idea! Seeing them all lock in to best each other was inspiring, but for sportsmanship yall should think about the fairness of it.
For next year yall really should not have the same guy go first every time. Joey really had a bigger challenge than the rest but i think yall know this.
IMO only fair thing to do is to have everyone go blind or to have one of yall do a first demo-jump.
For each chanllenge, contesters should take turns to be the first.

I was hoping you guys would bring back the parkour Olympics due to the 2024 Paris Olympics but this is a good replacement.
