No one asked but here’s some constructive criticism I’d give after the re-brand: - don’t try to force an intro catchphrase, Pierre. lol. - the setup is clean, but it’s pretty soulless and has 0 character. Add some seasoning. - the segment intros are kinda cringe and make the podcast feel less authentic - I’ll be looking to see how much y’all button up your personalities because of the partnerships. I understand but takes away from the authenticity which was your biggest strength as a podcast before. Best basketball podcast that blends knowledge and entertainment. Most can’t walk that thin line.
Proud of y’all for moving up but I do have to say this seems like a downgrade. The reason TTW was special was because it was authentic and felt like it was just homies talking about hoops. This feels too professional and doesn’t give me anything different from all the other basketball podcasts. The transitions are bad and I never liked the camera switches because you miss the reactions from the other people. Hopefully it’s just growing pains and it will get better over time. Aye love that yall are on to bigger things, was a fan of ttw for a very long time and always enjoyed the simplicity of the show. Mike and Dmills all dressed up and looking stiff in them fancy chairs is definitely different. I know it's just the 1st episode and yall will eventually loosen up. Some of the entertainment of the pod was the wack fits and the unexpected spur of the moment stuff that you wouldn't get from a professional pod. Definitely excited to see how this show grows as well ❤

Without being a hater…and whilst I’m also very happy for the guys that they upgraded, got the bag, got to film with Peyton Manning etc… I think this is going to be a change for the worse. I like that it was just four guys in a studio with Anwar just talking hoops, no cheesy interludes or awkward intros to segments, no different camera angles, or Derrick trying to be all professional. I’m sure they will tone it down a bit in time, but it just doesn’t seem real anymore. It seems like a show, a show owned by a multi millionaire who doesn’t care about the guys, or basketball. He cares that they can make him money. I’m just one person, it ain’t even matter if I don’t like it. But, im still sad that it’s became this. Having said that, the guys gotta do what they gotta do. I’m really happy for them.

Drop the Mike: I get P's point of how crazy valuable a Haliburton-type playmaking player minimizing turnovers is. Those lost possessions are huge - but, it's still maybe preferable for a team vs. losing points directly with fouls leading to free throws, or putting a team in the bonus, or just keeping a valuable defensive player in the game. Especially when that low foul rate keeps a defensively-talented star like Leonard/Butler available for key late-game moments. Not super common but feels like so much upside there
I got into No Dunks during the Numbers on the Board break. I saw them showing a lot of love to you guys and remembered i used to love their NBA TV content. Glad to see the good content creators supporting each other
Just want to help as a fan/consumer. The" Numbers on The Board" title card is hard to see on the thumbnail. For me, the time card is blocking it. Ive been watching since the covid days but for the new viewers they may not know what it is. Maybe reorient the logo. Just my suggestion, but love the content. Keep it up. 💯

If u are in a good place in life then it’s easy to be a fan without getting too attached, but sometimes we go through rough patches in life where sports is one of the only things that can bring a break. In those times it makes a huge difference if your team is good or trash.
Ik this wouldnt happen bc prep work, but a fire offseason video would be to protect 10 guys on every team and have an expansion draft between these 4, we would get in depth knowledge and at least 2 wild ass picks early
The only prep work is agreeing on which players the real teams are hanging onto. It could be a two episode thing where they save people in the first one then do the 4 team expansion draft in the next
A 4 team expansion draft is crazy. Especially with 10 protected players. Would have to at least be 2 teams with 2 co-GMs. Bill Simmons and Ryen Russillo already did this over the summer and you’d be surprised how fast the players became completely irrelevant and boring to talk about.

Switching the camera angles I don’t think adds anything except for making it seem like I’m watching the talking heads on ESPN. If u are in a good place in life then it’s easy to be a fan without getting too attached, but sometimes we go through rough patches in life where sports is one of the only things that can bring a break. In those times it makes a huge difference if your team is good or trash.
Ik this wouldnt happen bc prep work, but a fire offseason video would be to protect 10 guys on every team and have an expansion draft between these 4, we would get in depth knowledge and at least 2 wild ass picks early
The only prep work is agreeing on which players the real teams are hanging onto. It could be a two episode thing where they save people in the first one then do the 4 team expansion draft in the next
A 4 team expansion draft is crazy. Especially with 10 protected players. Would have to at least be 2 teams with 2 co-GMs. Bill Simmons and Ryen Russillo already did this over the summer and you’d be surprised how fast the players became completely irrelevant and boring to talk about.

Not meaning any hate. But losing the whole “Through the wireeee” intro and just the name itself really was tough. Switching the camera angles I don’t think adds anything except for making it seem like I’m watching the talking heads on ESPN. Just personally not much of a fan of this and I think a lot of the older fans won’t like this new thing very much either. Happy for y’all getting to the bag though.
