Highland people are much smarter than they make out, never underestimate them. And the hardest working I have ever had the privilege to work with. Good to see the help you gave them.
What a great adventure and experience for you. What beautiful happy people. I find people from lesser countries are happier with less, because they have a different focus then money, such as friends, family, and relationships. I used to get reverse culture shock going back to the first world after the third world. More does not make one happier for sure. That was a great show, loved the girls panning where you creviced behind the bridge edge and that was some great gold! I'm so glad you went and had such a great experience! cheers, Prairie🤠
I love the sense of community they have with men women and children all working together for a common goal. I am sure you were wishing to prospect other locations but maybe in the future. It looks like they have a great mining team and they would really put a dent into some good ground.
Good video,They need a vacuum cleaner that sucks the bottom of the river, then throw away the shovels, maybe uses both, good that your showing them how to make a dollar.
Another great video! They didn't take you to their good spot. I can see it in their eyes. I bet they are full pans now! Cheers!! You could rig up an exercise bike with hand bilge pumps to eliminate that gas pump.
Have you tried to pump water for the highbanker from the hole you are digging in, it would lower the level, and if not enough, you could let a bit more in
That's a good thought, but the pump really doesn't take much water so it would not affect the water level much because it was flowing in too quickly. Lucky for us the water was nice and warm and a perfect way to spend the day.
I gota say, you guys really did great out there, but I would recommend if you could try other areas in PNG as well. By the looks of it, that area have already been dug. It'd be best if you could try some other places that are not yet explored, specifically inland of West Sepik province.
Running a 3700gph pump on the highbanker. With a battery/solar charge system, would be a game changer for that operation. Upfront cost is higher but it would pay for itself in a short while. If you added the upgraded impeller to the pump, it would be even better. In fact, you could sell the impellers with a 15% charge to pay for their battery/solar system. I would buy 3 even though I only need 1.
@@CodysGarage If you watch some of his other videos. He has designed upgraded impellers for 3200gpm bilge pumps. I hope he puts them into production or the STL files for 3D printing.
I don't know all the details, but there is a local gold buyer in town. The people from the village do a wide variety of work including farming cocoa and vanilla, but the gold mining is profitable enough that some of them mine full time.
@UtmostOutdoors back in the 80s, the sale of gold was pretty highly regulated. I did hear that they were given perhaps 40% of market price, and hit with income tax as well. Needless to say I believe that there was a thriving black market as well.
I wish I have one of the high banker ,I could used it to mine gold East inland of Maprik ,fine goal tested and it was 99 per cent pure gold ,in the past German came and hand pick the cold , also during world war 2 the japanese also pick some.
Thank you, the two stage sluice is a great solution for fine gold in a river like this! I started building some of these for sale out of my garage in Canada last year. They will be available again in early 2025 when I return home to build some more. Keep checking back to this TH-cam channel and I'll post a video of the build next time I'm working on them if you're interested in seeing how they are made.
@@UtmostOutdoors your welcome. The 2 stage is great for super fine gold. That would work great as a dredge. Can you use a dredge where your at currently in this video? If so you could run a 2.5 inch dredge with it and have them still run buckets of material through it. I would also recommend putting a extension on it. Just to see how much gold your losing because that's alot of material you guys ran through your box. Ok that would be great. I'd like to see how to make your own high banker. It would be alot cheaper than buying one. Thank you again.
Would be better if you had a couple classifier trays say 3/8th of an inch even deep fryer baskets i use one my self and you would not have to worry about big rocks you shovel into the classifier in a bucket full of water tip out the rocks and feed
Too much double handling with that technique. That’s what you do when using a river sluice. Kyle spent months and months refining this highbanker to just feed it and let the machine do the work. Like was suggested, probably would benefit from having a wider hopper, a reinforced spray bar or some form of grizzly to protect the spray bar and the only other thing that I would like to see done is bent legs for more stability when using it with the legs extended.
@@Aaron_Hanson I have a friend that i worked with here in Australia on exploration he now lives in PNG and is a gold miner as well as other business has been there for years and yes there is gold further up into the mountains etc.
The mini box that I have only requires five litres per minute 50 watt solar panel with a small battery can keep it going non-stop .....I could fit all that in a backpack.... It's all fine material there's no large rocks... Classify the rocks out pan it for one minute get down to black heavy sand and then put it in the box.... If anything I would recommend a smaller box not a larger one... When pan for gold most of the time is taken getting rid of the black sand and that's what the mini box does.... I could put through 200 kg of dirt through my mini box per hour if I needed to I mean that's refined so there's only about 20% of that going through.... My mini box can handle 40 kg of black dirt per hour
I did do a few test pans, and nothing in the tailings. The gold isn't as fine as the Alberta stuff I'm used too. It looked like over 50% was caught before it even hit the main sluices.

With gold prices rising.. the world rivers and jungle flora and fauna would be suffering and water in third world countries would be polluted by mercury.. hmmmm.. I don't know why we base the currency on gold.. one of the rarest of elements..😔.
The rising gold prices mean new opportunities to mine in environmentally friendly ways using just water and no chemicals. It is important to recognize the harmful effects of mercury and use alternative methods for cleaning up the fine gold like these people do. Mining gold is good honest work, where you get paid directly for the hard work you put in. Working outside in nature, swimming, enjoying the sun, spending time with good people and enjoying the day. Nothing but good vibes from this local gold mining community...
Great stuff showing the village PEOPLE a life long way to make more gold every day 🏴
Great videos
Thank you for visiting us in PNG. See you again 🙏👍
So exciting! Can feel the excitement from everyone:) pretty cool seeing your highbanker handle those shovels! Durable ! Utmost adventurer for the win!

Good job! Lots of smiles. I think the village is going to use it to its fullest abilities.

Yea, survival

Great series! Looked like a fun & successful trip.🤙
My feet hurt just watching those fellas walk around on those rocks barefoot
Great video! Love to see you improving their daily operations a bit!
Love seeing this Bud! Gad your getting some adventuring in :)
That’s awesome. Great video
Great job brother 💪🏽💯
a 4 inch dredge would make quick work of that gravel, and get much deeper.
Hello, this is my friend, awesome 👍
Very nice gold, from a beautiful place. Well done everyone.
I thought about the bridge the first video I watched. Even on the back of the pipes all the way across 👍💯💚💛❤️
I like to turn on the WIFI on my highbanker to find the hot spots. Lol. ⚒️⛏️
instead of messing around in the river, redirect the river and dig it out. These are great guys.
I would love to try that it looks fun finding gold

You need a suction pump to move material. The gold is mainly small chunks anyway.
These guys need a dredge, they would just kill it!

Awesome video, I’m interested in gold being in the pipes of the “bridge”. Are they ribbed pipes that could collect the black sand and gold?
Good
if you put a larger size screen on the hopper more material will run through the box instead of falling off the back so fast
Since you're in Papua New Guinea,Try go to bulolo and mine their..1500 shovels and you'll get 7grams
Loved your videos.
Ive always wanted to pan at the rivers nearby my area but I haven't seen anyone does it so I doubt there's any gold in it
Exiting alluvial gold mining with the high banker. How about using a dredge in the deep spots?
Suction pump 🤔 would be great also
This is so efficient honestly! Where can I get a highbanker?

FYI hunt for gold close to if there any volcanoes there in the area 9 times out of 10 you'll find more bigger goal there😮😅😅😊

'Running' threaded pipe exists. It's used by electricians all the time in North America. [ Not all-thread; running thread. ]
Maybe detachable wings that can be used if needed?
A bolt going across in front of the water jets to save a rock hitting them
I am really Interested if you could also come do that testing with your technologies in my district.
I wish I had time to visit all the places, maybe one day...
Should mount some carry handles on it too

I would use microhydro directly into mini-inverter and direct connect to the water pump. No need batteries or solar
So how good is that for these people?
That's a lot of teamwork but how valuable is that amount for them?
What does it buy?
Is it worth it to them?
Good enough for them to have furnished homes, see the first video when he got here.
Wait we don’t get to see the good ground? Awesome anyways cheers
