    Wow. For like 3 years I've wondered why we always twist to the right side first, and you're the first instructor to ever provide me with that answer. This is only the second video I've done of yours and I plan to be back, daily. Thank you for the knowledge you provide and the humble guidance!

    Hi, Aprille! Been doing your sets on a daily basis, and one thing I appreciate about them is how much knowledge you share about the inner workings of our bodies. Providing that information is valuable to me, because it encourages the healing I need by way of confidence. I like how you are always explaining what each pose is accomplishing for us. Not enough yogis do this on TH-cam, I have noticed. So thank you!

      You are welcome and thank you for letting me know what you like! I am an information junkie and for me, more knowledge is always better. Knowledge can help you come to a better understanding of your body and make your relationship with it stronger and kinder. I am glad you are enjoying the practices and thank you for continuing to practice with me! Namaste, Aprille

    This is the best video of its kind I’ve found.
    I’m currently recovering from a month long diverticulitis flare up and this has been a wonderful tool in getting everything working properly in my gut again. After 3 days water fast and 4 days of bone broth constipation and gas is always an issue so this was very helpful now that I’m in the low fiber stage. Feeling much better. Thanks for the video.

    Really feels wonderful, a great practice. I’ve been having some longer term shoulder issues and I think my digestion is reacting to all the pain. I like this practice because its focused on the entire digestion system and is a welcomed change of pace from my should routines and rehab. Thank you Aprille!

      I am sorry to hear about your shoulder issues Grace and I hope they are on the mend. Digestion is very easily upset - stress, foods, pain, frustration. I always feel my digestion is a barometer of all that is going on in my world. I have a few other digestion practices you might try as well to help (Yin and Restorative) and I wish you healing! Thank you for joining me and have a great week! Peace, Aprille 💖🙏🤗

    WOW! This was AMAZING. I normally only do your restorative videos as I was advised by teacher's not to do yin because I have a tendency already to hyper extend... but I've been having a lot of stomach issues the past few days so I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. I love the variation of poses and that nothing felt overstretched like I usually do when I try yin, just incredibly soothing. I feel great. Thank you, you are an incredible teacher

      @YogaRangerStudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are so welcome and thank you for joining me for Yin! If you are hypermobile, Yin is a great way to destress, relax, soothe and manage stress (since for you it really isn't about mobility). You can use whatever props you want to reduce the depth of the pose so you can enjoy the other benefits of Yin Yoga too. So glad you joined me today and have a great weekend! Peace, Aprille

      I don’t know if you have done it already, but get yourself some adrenal support supplement, especially with ashwagandha. It will help calm the nervous system down, lowering the effects of stress and anxiety that affect our digestive systems. I have a digestive disorder I am battling with a special diet and my naturopath prescribed adrenal support as part of my healing protocol. It makes such a difference.

    Is it ok to practice Yin Yoga everyday, as I find it gives me peace and don't find myself any longer interested in the other styles since I started practicing it? Appreciate your views...

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are welcome Soher! I tend to use digestion practices a lot myself just to bring balance to that area (it's easy to digestion to get off from SO many things). I am glad it helped you feel better!
      In regards to you question - that depends on many things. If your life is a high stress, very active life in which you engage in other physical activities to strengthen and stretch your muscles - then Yin every day would be a great balance. I would say that I too love Yin but I do still practice flow and Restorative and keep quite active outdoors (gardening, walking, etc.). Yin is a great practice which I feel can help us soften and release in a world where we are constantly called on to be "active".
      Another caveat here as well - if you are already quite flexible, it is definitely healthier to engage in more active practices too to build muscle strength to prevent injury and protect the joints. For someone who struggles with flexibility, Yin plays an important role to relieve tension and release the body more. So, it depends on your lifestyle and your present flexibility.
      Sorry, not a completely clear answer but I hope this helps! Have a great day - Peace, Aprille

    I was having a hard time digesting life-after a bowel obstruction even. BC emergency spleen removal; after it exploded in wreck- so I stay away from dairy and gluten/ they are hard to digest for me/ anywho, this time came about by my brutal assaulter approaching me on bus though I have lifetime protective order on him -he wants to torture me still; and haven't been able to breathe correctly since- but this practice my muscles, mind, and spirit just relaxed > I am out of FFRF again; even after having continuously being in it since I was 3. .. from first of MANY traumatic experiences.. thank you; Aprille

    Thank you for the great practice. If hero pose ( straddle ) is not accessible, is there another pose you'd recommend?

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If Saddle pose isn't accessible you can do a supported bridge with a bolster under your hips. However, take a look at my tutorial for Saddle pose to see if any of those suggestions or modifications could work for you. Thanks!

    Video #3 since my wreck.. put massive strain on leg w the squat and sitting on leg/ ankles; but I was able to do whole thing without losing breath

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! Just go into what ever pose feels best for you and property lots and lots! You can sit on blocks for the sit on heels one to take strain off. Maybe try Restorative next? That way you are supported and the poses do all the work for you! 😊🤗

    I just recently had a shunt put in to reroute the fluids in my system caused by my cirhossis, so I have edema. I have to be careful with my feet as they are Extremely swollen and it hurts. If you have any practices that help release fluids I want to know. Love you guys 🙏😘😘😘💖💖💖💯🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈💖💖💖💖

      I hope this will help you Regina and sending you health and healing vibes. I have two practices that focus on lymphatic drainage - th-cam.com/video/MzOf4dYhKUU/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/8ycDSpTS_pQ/w-d-xo.html These are meant to work with lymphatic drainage overall and could reduce edema. I was told a few years back that taking 10 minutes every 2 hours or so to put my feet up at an angle with my back flat could really help with swelling in the legs and lower body. Just an idea to try? Thanks for joining me - Peace, Aprille

    What about with shattered shins- I feel it to excess there; and child pose is not fully an option due to same reason?
    Kept going and had to use pillow top for pie pose, but did well w others after on floor 💖 and just relised how much better I am since September- when I had to do whole thing on pillowtop.. thank you; Aprille- but I still wish to inquire about sharp shooting pain when sitting on leg.. just be careful when doing so* if not, avoid it?

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always ask your healthcare provider if certain movements cause you pain and inquire what poses to avoid. If you are experiencing sharp shooting pain, this is a sign something is going on deeper and either use more support, come out and rest, or modify the pose until you feel more comfortable in it. Sam, if you are experiencing a lot of pain in practice, please contact your doctor and/or pt to discuss with them in detail. They are better equipped to manage your specific needs.

    hi, can we do yin yoga twice a day on daily basis
    ?

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      This depends on your other activity levels in your life and for how long you intend to do it. If you have a very, very Yang life and Yin Yoga is your balance for that, then twice a day might make sense for you. It is all about balance overall in your life.
