I came across your vlog and was immediately delighted because you are providing us with a conduit into contemporary Austrian literature and Vienna. My friend was in Salzburg just recently - I went to Wien and Saltzburg in 2014. In an earlier visit to Wien I went to the Sigmund Freud house where there was a literature exhibition devoted to great "difficult" books that famous people couldn't finish! I am sure Franz Kafka's works were included. Modernist texts tend to be experimental and thus place a lot of demands on readers in a Twitter now X world :-). What I suggest is that just like mountaineering you should set up base camps at certain stages of the reading. Take your time and enjoy the reading and the language. In a time when there is a demand for authenticity it is strange that fiction should be frowned upon when it is...fiction. Thank you for your vlog and I will tell my friends about your vlogs.
Thank you for your kind words! I hope my videos will keep being inspiring 🥰 I most certainly will take some time with Kafkas work ✨ All the best to you!
Hi! I want you to know that your videos inspire me so much to read and write, and I would like to read something you wrote so much! :) Also, I love your outfits and I would like to know where you buy these pieces with so much personality, not usually found in the fast fashion industry...
Bravo🎉 well on your way. As for Kafka I enjoy his short stories to his novels. The Hunger Artist is intense. Best of luck on your writing life…cheers from the States. I visited Innsbruck long ago and have fond memories of Austria.
Have had Kafka's "Trial" in school. Reading this book is like watching David Lynch movies. Lots of symbols, metaphor thus many interpretation. But still book has a message for everyday guy "Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains". Often we got this imagination, illusion of freedom and don't realise how regime could turn our own life into tragedy.
David Lynch is such an interesting filmmaker, so maybe with that in mind it opens up a new perspective on Kafka for me. I hope to read „Trial“ at some point :)
Congratulations! 🎉 Also your hometown is so so so beautiful! 🥰
Thank you! Yes, indeed I always love to come back to this little town and enjoy the beauty 🥰
