Yeah...Usha ji has composed so many melodies as seen from my childhood.
This masterpiece was originally chosen to be sang by Rafi Saheb, due to Rafi Saheb and Rajendra Kumar jis great collaborating successes, but Rafi Saheb in that time was busy doing stage in foreign countries. The movie makers and music director were willing to wait for Rafi Saheb to return. However it was Saheb who recommended Yesu das ji name to them, knowing how great Yesu Das ji was as a singer. Rest is history. The song was a bumper hit.

the nice thing here is sonu didn't try to imitate KJY or his style (in which he would have failed miserably had he tried). he delivered the same song in his own style and did a great job. well done sonu.

Even though Sonu g sang it well but woh dard jo present in original is missing . The timber of vocal originally sung by yesudas g can never ever be replaced . That's the contribution of ( TiMe ) Today even yesudas g himself cannot replace the one that was recorded. Tears come out ... as u listen to the innocence of such voice .
