Konami just can't help themselves warping the meta entirely every 3 months.
When they try to release cards that don't massively power creep the game they get people calling the sets trash and vendors not supporting the game as a result. Such is the audience they have catered to.

Sooner or later FTKs would be the norm. With the amount of powercreep, this was inevitable. Hopefully, it doesn't become the standard moving forward.
We have been on a nonstop train of tier 0 and tier 1 decks dominating the format since POTE. I think it's safe to say FTKs being the only viable wincon are the next step Konami wants.
I've actually been working on a way to incorporate Rank up Magic and Number Monsters into my Chaos Deck. I'll give you a hint, it's number 5.

Well I do adore ZeXal, and that character was great, so I like this quite a bit. It suites his sadistic play style and finally gives Gimmick Puppets a proper win condition. Plus the art is magnifique!

I think that the iffy feeling about the FTK is that it does set the precedent. "1 card FTKs that are resilient to hand traps are fine, remember when we did it before?"

it's interesting seeing people complain about these cards, but haven't said a thing about insane overuse of handtraps and how that is unhealthy for the game or the fact that they are okay with playing tier 1 and 0 decks and the field spell can be destroyed with mst or literally fucking anything, necrovalley shuts the deck down completely, ure literally acting like a child because ur meta deck doesnt work against this one specific deck even though there are tons of decks out there that can deal with gimmick puppet otk, ygo players are insanely delusional
