This type of content is much more informative than One Football used to create. If this is the new direction it gets a thumbs up from me.

So coming from American sports, I'm shocked that everyone wasn't using expected stats already.
Were transfers seriously valued based on counting stats and not expected performance? That seems nuts.
The real breakthrough is going to come when someone figures out a way to isolate each player's contribution to creating and stopping goals. It's obviously going to be far harder in association football because of the lack of discreet events, but if you can find a workable model, you can figure out which skills are over and under valued on the transfer market and sell players with the former for players with the later.

If it was the old one football it would've been Matt narrating through the video. Matt always brought personality, charisma and an overall sense of engagement. I don't care about these fancy new graphics, if the host can alone do a proper job of making enjoyable with narrative then that's all I need. This video felt boring compared to Matt's narrative explanation videos.

The only criticism I have of of this video was the use of Harry Maguire, Man U paid £80 million for a breathing fridge.
    Moneyball failed in this instance.

Haha, they use his image when saying "clubs analyse players' decision making". Clubs that use data gave him a very wide berth. Man U clearly don't use Moneyball techniques

This channel was such a go-to, But sadly it's dead now. There was no need to scrap the old video concepts for this. The old concept actually did better, If you look at the views count. No one really watches shorts and these vids. Idk why they did that.
    Really miss Matt and Co.

Why is Messi ranked 5th for this year’s ballon dor from you OneFootball 😡..this is basically why I stopped watching your videos and unsubscribed you guy…it’s like you guys are always in favor of Messi and that’s some bullshit..Messi this year should be 40th in place for the ballon dor and nobody will question that..I know it’s only your opinion but 5th with his current form is literally too high..no disrespect to Messi tho but he should be around 50 or 40 and everyone will agree even his own fan base will
