Just shared this with our lead guy. This would work great for our 48ft Hensley feed wagons. We run disc brakes all around on our daycab Freightliner Cascadia though.
We have 3 Kenworths on our farm, 2019 t880 x15 / eaton auto, 2022 t880 mx13 / 13speed, and my own personal 2015 t800 with a ISX 15 / 10speed with 7" stacks. You can brag up that cab all you want but that t880 will NEVER look as good as a classic t800 and i will always perfer to sit back in that t8.
Now that Kenworth is awesome Andy great video. Glad to see Kenworth is getting the trucks out it would be great to see the T2000 come out again I've seen 2 of them just dont see them anymore but that truck is better looking
That’s a really well spec’d farm truck. I’m not convinced after driving the automated transmissions that they are any good in the paddock. On the highway though they are good. The pitfall I find with automated transmissions is that they lack eyes, they are reactive and are often chasing gears in the hilly terrain. Dare I say it the Volvo automated transmission seems to be the best on the market at the moment.
The company i work for just bought a t880. Its nice and all but theyll have to pry the keys outta my hands to get my 09 t800 away from me. All million miles of her. Love that truck
Yuo hold onto it as long as you can my company brought about 30 of the 2023 t880 they’re now around 70k miles and just replaced the engine in about 5 of them (Paccar of course) and the one I’m in have transmission issues daily
Nice Truck! ... although I'm not too keen on the Auto Trans. That's I suppose for when the Artificial Intelligence take over the Industry. .. lol. Love the T800s though! It's been what... 40 years now? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Hope to see them continue, along with the C500.
Drum brakes, all round, on a 2024 vehicle?! Madness, no truck or trailer in the EU uses drum brakes anymore, haven't done for well over a decade. Do drum brakes even have ABS?
We've had ABS mandated since sometime in the late 90s. My 99 T800 has ABS with drums all the way around. Ironically the 2015 lowboy I pull has all discs and no ABS, I guess there are exemptions for trailers over a certain weight capacity. After using that trailer I wouldn't order anything new with drums. It stops on a dime and I never have to get under it with a torch/hammer to fix frozen brakes.
That's depend on the application if the truck will operate in rough road drum brakes are better than disc brakes because it is covered and minimize the dirt .unlike European truck that always operate on highways.t800 is a vocational truck.
This is a beautiful t 800 Andy. Thanks for sharing with us ❤.
T800 sill one of my favorite...i started my carrer with that.... 15 years ago, im currently driving a western 4900. a model thay enjoy aswell....
I don't care what anyone says , there ain't nothing ad great as a T8 🧡🧡
Thats what everyone says so i believe you
If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Legends never die!
Love the t8 that day cab was nice only thing change is the transmission change drums to disc brake
Now Kenworth is awesome , Andy . Hi 👋 from Ensenada Baja California, Méx. 🇲🇽
Wow that is a super nice truck. That’s a dream rig right there.
Always enjoy the great work, Andy.
Great video Andy. I really like the red interior color. Looks real sharp. Two👍👍
How much longer is the T800 going to be in production?
How much longer you think the T800 will be around? And yes I agree, the 7 grill bars is what makes a T800 look right

You got that right i love the look of the t800
That is a sweet looking truck. I have a soft spot for the T800. I still prefer the manual transmissions tho. Thanks Andy
I liked this video within the first minute just because the intro music :D

Not having a normal manual transmission ruins this beautiful truck

My Kenworth dealer told me no more T 800s. I might be moving on kENWORTH don’t think ill be buying a T880
That’s what I heard too. Don’t think I’ll be going to need 880 also
Just a standard looking truck to our Aussie built ones
Sickkkkkk truckkkkk

T8 over the 880 any day......what color is that???
You got slots to order T800 right now
I hate automatics my God what is the reason for this?
AAAAAUTOMATIC 🙄
Is kenworth going to discontinue the T800?
In Mexican Kenworth the T800 has already been discontinued
It's sad because this truck was extremely popular in any configuration.

Yes mine has ABS and it's drum brakes it a 2020 model
