- Join two-time Olympian and Rio 2016 bronze medallist Sally Conway for a strength/power training circuit on Workout Wednesday. Exercises are completed in both beginner/advanced formats, so the workout is for all abilities.
Warm-up
Superset 1 - jump shrug and hurdle jump (3 sets of 2, 3 sets of 5) + 3 minute break.
Superset 2 - bench press and clap press up (3 sets of 2, 3 sets of 5) + 3 minute break.
Superset 3 - Gi pull up and medicine ball slam (3 sets of 2, 3 sets of 5) + 3 minute break.

If I may ask, why do you wait a sec when you land a clapping pushup? Is there a reason behind it or is it just the way you like to do them?

Noob question: why is the training volume so low? 3 supersets seem like nothing for the average judoka, let alone an olympic competitor.
Quality over quantity. If we do too much power exercises we fatigue the neuromuscular system and will be waisting our time. Good quality burst each time followed by adequate recovery. Hope this helps
