Excellent video, I have the Yamaha 863 which is a monster, beautiful and powerful, I use high quality Aiwa S94 speakers, but mine doesn't have Atmos, I preferred to buy this model used because of the Atmos, I expect immersive sound, looking forward to mine arriving and test.

Thank you so much for this video sir… 🍻 I had to reset my receiver because my subs lost bass after using that mic 🎤 calibration.
So I reset it and my bass from my dual SVS PB-1000 Pros is back on.

Great video. I have the older Rx v795a RDS which I'm using with a pair of floor standing speakers with my tv. I'm just not sure where to wire the speakers in the back.

I had my audio input default at av3 in receiver settings and my input on hdmi 3 wondering why no sound is coming out..thank you for showing me how to change it in settings and to match them!!

La mia domanda è: quando ascolto musica normale che sia TH-cam o TV normale,o radio dal sintoamp, le casse surround non suonano?? Ascolto solo gli anteriori destro e sinistro e forse il centrale??? Perché avevo previsto per i surround due casse grandi a pavimento ma non so se mi conviene per sentirle solo quando vedo film in 5+1 attendo info grazie
HELP!!!!! I have a Yamaha RX-V630 receiver that I have used in the past for a great surround sound theater experience. Trouble is, that was many years ago and I can't remember how to adjust the channels so I get full surround sound. No one has a video on how to adjust the settings on this receiver so it sounds great again. My favorite test sound video is the scene in Forrest Gump when Forrest is carrying Bubba out of the jungle and the jets are coming in from behind them then flying over after they drop their payload of bombs. That's the best I have ever found for testing an actual movie for sound channels. My trouble is, I am not able to get sound from my rear speakers unless I use 6 channel in. I don't remember having to use that setting in the past. I use one of the theater settings. Can you or anyone else HELP ME PLEASE!!! Thanks in advance!
Hi, just wanted to ask if you had used a Y-cable to combine two sub woofer per out to connect to your subwoofer RCA input, or just a single RCA Cable from the receiver to the subwoofer.

@@UTILITARIANTVUK Thank you, for the reply. Further more could you please tell me if you used the RCA Y cable because your subwoofer demands a left and Right Channel input? or if the subwoofer takes only one RCA input? In the second case you may have used the y cable at the AV-Receiver end.
I have the same system (RXV581) I build my own tower speakers and assembled a subwoofer amp too, I am getting good sound from my 2 tower speakers. However when I was taking one single SubPre Out RCA from the AV-Receiver and connecting to my sub i was just getting a buzz but no LFE output.
So I am confused if I have to use a Y- Cable at the AV-Receiver End to fix this issue. Which also makes me wonder how then two subs could be connected to this AV Receiver.

Thanks for the video, just basically did the same thing and picked up a RX-V675 for £180 on ebay, ive got the same Subwoofer as you but Wharfedale 7.1 book shelf speakers, looking forward to how it sounds compared to my cheap Auna Amp
How to see options of my yamaha rx v 365 on tv screen?
I can't get yamaha menu to display on TV. I don't have hdmi arc but that is foe audio. Atleast video should come on tv

I hooked my optical cable from tv to yamaha receiver 7.2 rx v581 in AUDIO 1. And I also hooked my wireless microphone in AV3 using RCA. The problem is if I choose Audio 1 the sound from my tv is working but the wireless microphone is not. And then if I choose AV3 my tv sound is not working and the microphone is good. How to used both AUDIO 1 and AV3 at the same time so I can enjoy watching TH-cam video and my wireless microphone?
You need to connect with an HDMI cable from the TV.
@@UTILITARIANTVUK I've try to hooked my tv using HDMI to my receiver but still same. If I choose HDMI on my receiver the sound of my tv is working but my wireless microphone is not, but if I choose AV3 my wireless microphone is working but the sound from my tv is not working.

Does it read USB files quickly?
It was pretty quick but it depends how much is on there.

How to see the set up on tv screen?
Connect to the TV via the HDMI out on the back of the amp.
I’ve tried that and still don’t see the setup screen on tv any ideas as to why ?

It's discontinued so you would probably have to get a used one.
YAPO only useful for distance. Otherswise it is useless. Only in empty room it is useful. I m not happy with YAPO.
For some reason av receivers don't hold value. It's a much better deal to buy second hand.
