Was fun to see some Hawks hockey again, first preseason game enough said. Spellecy is going to be fun to watch his progression the next few years. No injuries is a plus!
Especially with all the injuries happening around the league... just hoping they stay clear of that these final two games. Spellacy has really been impressive! Love they are giving him more opportunities as a reward for his performances. He fits in!
Some great magic between 86 and 98 last night. That Teuvo goal was awesome. His poise and intelligence are apparent. Spellacy looked pretty solid and restrained despite his obvious physical prowess - got some time on the PK - positionally sound and has some wheels - could be a beast in a few years. Donato looked inspired and played well. On the downside - Lardis was invisible.
The turn over on the power play that led to a Detroit break away... we saw it too many times last season. Concerning that he keeps making the same mistake
@@anthonytony8328 cant draft, trade or present him current team members to help him cause he just wants to do it on his own too often. He has vision, we’ve seen that, he just has these moments where it disappears.
He's a 19-year-old predominant puck carrier for this team playing his first game in several months, I'm not going to dog him for one turnover. All in all, he was certainly one of the better Blackhawks last night and made some really nice reads. Savvy plays along the boards. He was solid. Maybe I should have brought up the turnover that led to a breakaway, but he had a solid night otherwise.
@@anthonytony8328I would say let's hold our horses saying "keeps making the same mistake". It happened in the preseason opener, don't think there's reason to be concerned about this...
@@LockedOnBlackhawks it's not just one turnover. We saw him turn the puck over in the same situation last season. If it was one mistake, I would give him a pass. But it's the same mistake we saw many times last season.
We saw the best and worst from Korchinski. Had a nice feed to Bedard that led to a scoring chance. Then in the same shift he got muscled off the puck. It didn't lead to a scoring chance so theres that...still pulling for him.
Bedard's turn over on the power play that led to a Detroit break away chance was glaring since we saw that happen too many times last season. Yes, I know he's only 19. But he keeps making the same mistake. Not good.
QUESTION OF THE DAY -- What Kind Of Numbers (Goals & Points) Do YOU Expect Connor Bedard To Put Up During His Sophomore NHL Season? LEMME HEAR YA!!
I'd like to see 90 points. 45/45 but I'll take any combination if the total is 90.
I’m intrigued by Spellacy. It will be fun to watch his progress
He reminds me of Tom Wilson
@@anthonytony8328 That's who he tries to mold his game after!!
Love that they're giving him these opportunities

Are we just blocking out Bedard turnovers and Mrazek bailing him out on that takeaway? He needs to settle down, stop running into three defenseman too

KK needs some time in Rockford.
