I remember the older guys in the early ‘60s that ran Mooneys on their cars, I always wondered how they were attached. Now 60 years later I know. Thanks!
That power window kit is pretty slick. The 47 is lookin great. Smart move by RL having you do these upgrades. Car would look great in dark blue with some Tommy the Greek style pinstriping.
'47 looking great! Inspires me to get back on my '46 Business Coupe! Like the discs but spider caps with the black rims would look awesome. Beautiful car, fantastic work and thank you again for another great video! Go LGKustoms, keep moving forward!
Never seen those trim clips before, there neat. I’m wondering if we keep them over here. That seams a hell of a long time waiting for that yoke. Smashing old car just gets better. Lux looks ready for a hundred yard dash. He’s really getting about. Cheers all the best. Tim.
She needs a rub down with the 50 50 linseed oil mix 😎 love the trim ❤️ but you should have done the flat blue paint job, you probably wouldn’t have sold her 😂😂
Re the stainless Lee I had some aftermarket ones for my 48 that rusted, turned out they were poorly chromed ones from Argentina. In the end I got some reproduction stainless ones from Bob Drake.
When working on unrestored cars you have to draw the line somewhere. Especially when it’s a customer car and it’s work above and beyond what I was hired to do. Too many times in the past I’ve gone the extra mile only to have the customer say “I never asked you to do that, I’m not paying for it” Since filming this however, RL asked me to clean the rear end, so it’s done now. Squeaky clean.
From here the skirts look great , the rest of the car isn’t perfect so the skirts don’t need to be perfect either. The car does look “super cool “ though , nice work.
I’m not painting it blue. When I owned the car, I had planned on painting it blue, but I’ve since sold it and the new owner does not want to paint it and asked to have the trim installed.

I'm glad he decided to keep the Moons, too. I've said it before; that car is in my top 5 favourites,
of all time. [glad you never painted it blue]

They make screw on, snap on and these ones with Dzus fasteners
WOW!!! I can't believe you've had those Moon disks that long. That's awesome!! I would have loved to see that car in blue suede.
Yea I’ve had them on 5 or 6 different cars now, and just hang them on the wall in between

So cool that 47 is just getting improvements and some refinement.. but still has the same mojo. I always loved the way it looked / looks.

The yoke has a story just as long as the wait time… 🙄

I sold it cause I’m focused on the 32 right now.
Nice , I like it .

Good to know.
Any chance that could you shorten and bend those lower front fender stainless trim? Great work as usual
I considered trimming them down, but when I talked to RL about it he said don’t worry about and he’ll just look for Ford ones
The mouldings look great.. would you put a T5 in your roadster?
Probably not. It would lose it’s authenticity with a T5
@@LGKustoms I thought so. Cheers
Whats the measurements of that fender trim you need? Might have from a merc
Dude!!! Ls next !? Just saying!!! Your hot rod was bad as"':s!!! All ready!!! ✌️
How come you never cleaned that gunk off the differential centre when you had it out.

Do you have a link to the regulators? I need to my merc 47 convertible..
They make a set specific for the convertible

My first car was a 47 Ford. Paint it black

I think you may have commented on the wrong video 😉
@@LGKustoms 🤣🤣🤣 yes I did , I was watching on the TV and commented on my phone . Getting old sucks 🤣
Should have painted the blue suede first.

Seven freaking weeks and you couldn't clean that nasty diff? WTH!!
