Are the Dev Kill events and medallions only going to be for the upper tier players? I've accepted the fact that the farthest I'll ever get is the Tier 4/3 border. Knowing that there is a chance for Devs to join the lower tier games for these kind of events would be a great boost to morale for those of us who play casually.
personally i don't mind ecm too much ... i do mind that its counters aren't good/rewarded enough like TAG and NARC need to be able to entirely negate it for the duration ... ECM merely delaying a lock might nerf it too much (this could be rather something BAP could offer as a soft counter), i´d rather would have for pure lock weapons such as streaks to have the option to dumb fire instead ... though it requires a different approach of the user it´s not really an issue LRMs and ATMs imo ...
I wish they would make Gauss weapons work "correctly," ie like they do in MW5 and other MW games. The change was made to try and stop 2xPPCs & Gauss spam many years ago and it failed do that at the time. I noticed the 2xPPCs & Gauss issue was fixed with Ghost Heat when I came back from a break. But, I was sad that Gauss weapons still don't work correctly.
too true. I recently tested whether I wantet to run an AC20 or Hgauss on my Misery. The AC20 performed wayyyy better, simply because I didn't have to kerfuffle around with the charge mechanic.
As an old player from Wargames West in Albuquerque, where the terror of the tabletop in the late 80's was Wayne's "Santa Mech", a red and white Awesome with a beard... yes. Definitely yes.
Double heatsinks kinda misnomer there, when i started they werent double, just double slots and 1.5 heat, now its almost closer to singles in heat. Not a fan, nor nerfing ecm.
The Spitfire should get a MRM10 HSL +3 to fire two volleys of 7 MRM10s. It wouldn't be very good since it would have terrible heat management and need to take a slow XL engine, but it would be fun.
The RAC change makes no sense. The game already has serious frame rate/frame drop issues, and this change to nearly 40% more projectiles will only exacerbate that.
MrVadd's mwo performance tool is quite good. I'm getting a pretty consistent 120-140 fps with a Ryzen 5 5600x and RX6600XT. 32 gigs of RAM and a m.2 SSD made a big improvement to loading times and I haven't had a crash in a long time.
@@harumaronnet1709 Oooh, that makes sense I guess. Though one has to wonder, could they break the macro exploit by going to a lower rate of fire and higher DMG per shell?
if they are going to nerf radar dep and ecm then what are they going to do about stealth? active probes should be the nerfs for ecm and radar dep but then they need to be more crit space or weight. i like the cauldren making changes but when they buff they never make a negative, like less heat should also mean less range as an example.
Gee, they really skirt and slither around any meaningful changes of RAC´s like there is no tomorrow. Just add instant full fire rate spool up and it would be at least in a better spot for a stare down weapon. Especially in this meta.
I wish they did this to ECM range reduction in the first place, instead of what they did in earlier patch. 400meters detection range pretty much makes clan ECM useless, as few builds operate outside those ranges. Frankly it should only affect the carrying mech, and only them but be very powerful, delayed targeting data, lrm/atm and streak protection, and no R allowed outside 120m instead of current 400m. Or maybe they could change so there are 2 versions of ECM, one powerful personal version, and one that is weaker but provides protection to allies. My preferances aside, this is going to buff Narc a lot. Now the ECM protection bubble is reduced roughly by a third if we disregard elevation as it rarely matters. It is the only counter to NARC in game.
Sorry for the late reply, but from what I recall, you usually have to visit the event page, and there's often a separate link provided which will take you to the actual page for claiming rewards. You can usually do so during the entire event (sometimes they break it up, and the timing can be found on the reward redemption page). Normally they allow redemption for a week or so after the event ends also.
The Spitfire is useless. It's only quirk is being able to go WHOOSH with 60 tubes... as opposed to going WHOOSH with 30 tubes, wait less than 1 second, then WHOOSH with the other 30. Not much of an advantage, and for this you get no cooldown, range, spread, or velocity quirks. And it costs money. The camo is nice, though. Pity the "spitfire" doesn't have ballistics like its namesake.
I would like to see some redemption to THE SCATTERSHOT. Right now it is borderline unplayable. It is terrible in anything that it wants to do. No other mech has this amount of negative quirks.
Wow... Great... More Legendaries... Yay... (Sarcasm +50). When will it be just Legendary Mechs, and all the great actual Lore Mechs get pushed out completely? Again for the annoying ass-hats, I realize MechWarrior isn't Lore Accurate BattleTech, but they used to TRY at least... I haven't given an actual shite about a Patch in... Well, a long time. None of this makes Me want to play more. Since the rebrand in fact, I've logged less and less time into the game... It's just sad now. It's depressing. I don't even watch Baradul, or Phil, everyday like I used too. I can't be the only one who thinks this. Why not Inner Sphere OmniMechs instead, or Faction and Clan specific Mechs, that focused on the various ways they fought, with Faction Paint schemes... An ACCURATE Free Worlds League Militia camo would have been nice... I don't know... Just not feeling it...
If being serious, the only neef Urbanmech needs is a very strict engine cap. You absolutely should NOT be able to speed it up to 104 KPH, maximum potential speed should be AT BEST 64.8 KPH - the standard "low" speed fow Inner sphere light and medium mechs. And with the high speed problem being solved - Urbie will be in a very fine place. I recently started to learn how to use Urbanmech with it's stock 60-rated engine (no experience with fast Urbanmechs before, never liked them), and it turns out to be very fun team-related gameplay. You can mount heavy weapons, relatively strong armor and you still have 360 degree turret at your disposal, you just have to pay for all that with speed. You should try that too, maybe with 100-rated engine instead of stock one fir nice 54 KPH as a starting point. You'll clearly see that it's high engine ratings what makes them so annoying. I think with this balance ideology for Urbies they can get really unique, while also keeping themselves closer to TT variants.
Lets get information warfare patch in. Not just ecm, but sensors in total.
Haské=(Has-kay, it's from the Hausa language of West Africa and it means light.) FYI.

i've seen a lot of overheating deaths since the change
love the stocking stuffer event and the free mech event is so good. Tons of stuff for just playing a match
They should've buffed NARC, nuking ECM is dumb.
ADDITIONALLY, bring back points for using AMS.
AND BRING BACK KNOCKDOWN!!!!
An Awesome should have been the Santa Mech not the Warhammer.
PGI seemingly hates Awesome, one of the most forgotten mechs out there.
As an old player from Wargames West in Albuquerque, where the terror of the tabletop in the late 80's was Wayne's "Santa Mech", a red and white Awesome with a beard... yes. Definitely yes.
The reason the Warhammer was picked was due to it being daerons favorite mech
@@osiris4457awesomes got a buff like a few months ago. I wouldn't say they hate them
@@harumaronnet1709 After ages of being ignored. Not to mention that the only tangible buff was 8V. If anything, it proves my point.

I wonder: when will they fix the decals on the Longbow?? Hopefully soon.
For a game with no engineering support, they've been busy this month.
The RAC change makes no sense. The game already has serious frame rate/frame drop issues, and this change to nearly 40% more projectiles will only exacerbate that.
The reason it was done was to fix the RAC macro that some people found out about.
That, and it also sounds and feels satisfying

Yeah, it feels like a change for the sake of aesthetics, which is weird. Only gameplay impact is, what, increased screenshake for the recipient?
He somehow didn't see the -65% screen shake on the AKSUM, and the -% screen shake is new to the game, I think.

they need to change the way rac weapons fire because they should fire a round every time a barrel reaches the 12 o clock position.
No
😂
