Never thought a haircut could be so technical. I enjoy watching Dan's videos, but as a woman, I haven't been to have my hair done properly for decades .
I always like your approach with the consultation wich most of the barbers in youtube skip this part and fade the hair right away then they call it a haircut.
Dan is my Favorite barber. Very informative about how he cuts the hair and how to give texture. Gonna watch all of his Video from this channel. I've just realize how he resembles to Ryan Terry whos from UK as well. Maybe Dan can cut his hair haha
Sharp old school hair cut ! The older barbers would be amused by the hair clips and that blow dryer!!! I do believe this cut was all over the movie “Saturday Night Fever “ , John Travolta !!

Dan's haircut is very simple to style. Blast of the hairdryer. And use a matte finish product like the Regal Gentleman Matte Clay or a paste. With this you just want to get a tiny bit of product all the way through with your fingers to show off that texture and add some hold - nothing too perfect, no combs or brushes needed. We'll try get Dan to show how he styles his hair in a future video, if you'd like to see it?
I recently visited my son and his family in Spokane, Wa. USA, I noticed she was saying ya ya ya a lot, the next video I watched with Dan he was saying ya ya ya.....I went into her home office and played the bit with Dan saying ya ya ya, it really cracked us up. (we are easily entertained)
@ 13:00 my only critique is to ask that you slow down when talking sometimes. I understand you perfectly 99% of the time but my ignorant American self struggling to understand when you speed up your talking pace around 13:05. Even Google closes captions can’t make it out
I don’t mind that you have the same person as last time but I like more variety in videos and different hairstyles it’s a bit more educational for me just some advice

This video is more about the advice to Toby in the chair so that gents growing out their hair can see how to communicate with a barber as you're going through the process of growing. The hairstyle may not change a lot but it's more to show that communication the whole way. As we know a lot of guys struggle with this process and think you just have to grow without ever visiting a barber or hairdresser, which is great if you can do it but a lot of us don't want to. Hope that makes sense. We're hoping to have more than one video a week out in the very near future, so then we can have the videos you like plus more variety like this. Dan is not trying to be anything, he's just had a variety of experience at all levels in different shops meaning he's combined his knowledge of working in barbershops with hairdresser work to what you see meaning he's comfortable with all types of hair!
