  • Two Class 377s in Southern livery speed past Pevensey Bay station, both having come from Pevensey & Westham and going to Normans Bay. This crossing is on the main A259 road which turns from a non-primary road to a Primary Trunk Route around the corner, so queues form quickly. The crossing is equipped with a quiet alarm and obstacle detection, so it is a quick wait, although 3 didn't have time to. The former CCTV cameras sat atop the post in the first clip. This and Selmeston crossing are the only ones on the East Coastway line at this time to have bulb lights. This is also the only crossing in the country to have halogens and be an MCB-OD. This crossing is called Wallsend after the road but Network Rail is rubbish at giving names to crossings sometimes. Last time I was filming here last year, a car drove across the crossing and its hubcap fell off and rolled across the crossing behind it. Sadly I inadvertently deleted the film. Bloody idiot.
    Type: MCB-OD
    Route: East Coastway Line
    Location: East Sussex, England, UK
    Train 1: 1:43
    Closure 2: 2:03
    Train 2: 3:43
