I know a couple that have problems. He likes to spend every penny. He stays in debt. With Cc Taxes and IRS. Spends till there is nothing left. He's parents always bails him out. He owes them much money. The wife makes good money. Moes than he does. She pays their living expenses. Food, utilities, house note, any bill that comes in. Childs expenses, meds, Dr, cloths, etc. How does a wife turn over all her money to someone who has never managed his money. By the way she works 2 jobs.😮
I have been dating one woman off/on for 8 years, I do care and love for her, she’s a very successful small business owner, and it doesn’t intimidate me that she makes more money than me. However, the reason why I have not asked her to marry me is because she is fiercely independent, and she will not let me as the man lead the relationship. I won’t let her turn me into her cuck, and been praying how best to tell her that until she lets me lead as biblically prescribed, I am not walking down that aisle with her.
It sounds like more off than on, you need to move on. You are enabling her "independence" by hanging on. You're like the female in a relationship that's holding on until you get the ring on the finger. It sounds like she is using you to scratch her itch. Maybe you need to be single, focused on your relationship with Jesus, first. Blessings.

So we’ve been living paycheck to paycheck for a long time. When bills are due there has by some dangerous times in the deep red. I’m the sole provider. We are at the point where we are going to need at least 1 new car in a year or 2, our kids are looking at college. Last but not least, much of my household is self handyman fixed. We can’t afford new appliances With the grace of our Lord we’ve made it this far. My thought is to pull my 401k taking the tax hit but to pay off the house and invest the rest. Then with no house payment, my check can handle expenses and start a new savings account. I’ll be able to afford life insurance should (God forbid) anything happen to me. It’s all good it seems as long as I can work but retirement is wiped out. I’m still working on it but I need to tell my wife. She’s not very reasonable with this stuff?
God will never lead a husband and wife in opposite directions. If a husband submits to Christ, it's easy for a wife to submit to her husband. But really it's both submitting to God, the husband just takes responsibility for the mutual decision good or bad. I die to my preferences for my wife, where we eat etc.. But when it's safety & security I expect yes no questions asked during emergencies. Everything else we mutually discuss first.
Marriage?! What marriage?! Get real. My youngest son is 15, and I am a single dad. After all the horrific ways, I have been treated by "Christian" women. I see that walking alone is the only course. "Christian marriage?" "Christian women?" Lord, all my prayers are in vain.
Lead your wife please you might as well put her in God's hand cause you certainly ain't leading her anywhere, they will do whatever they want, heck some will even use the Bible against you lol
