    The first clip with the patina flatbed and the cars under the tent was the lot I was staying on. The blue camaro is mine and the black gto is my dads

      Awesome! Were y’all also in that spot last year? We stopped on that block then also. There were a couple of black Impalas like the one on the end in last year’s video but no GTO or Camaro.

    Jeepn the coast is a separate event

      @504RoadTrips  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is that at the same time as Cruisin the Coast? Last year, we saw a convoy of about 25 jeeps.

      People are nuts about their Jeeps down here. I must see atleast 25 of them a day and they're all modified.

    Thanks for this. Biloxi is a good city (As is Gulfport). Happy to see them hosting a national event.

      Wow! Edgewater Mall? I haven't seen that place since 1980! Didn't know it was still there.

      It’s changed A LOT since 1980. When I was a kid, before Cruisin the Coast started, they used to have antique car shoes inside the mall during the summer. We would go every year.
      The inside of the mall would be unrecognizable to you if you haven’t seen it since 1980.

      Yes, I’m not sure why that was even there but it puts the Disney animatronics to shame!
      This is something I look forward to every year. We went into downtown Gulfport today and I couldn’t believe how many cars and people were down there!

    Nice capture before hwy 90 turns into a parking lot lol.. Really one of the best times of the year on the Mississippi Coast!

      Yes it is. We come out for this every year. It’s only a little more than an hour from home so we’ll come back out next weekend as well.

    Well, if you ever ride those go-karts, I hope Kari films as you narrate. "Here we see turn #2, which was modeled after the famous turn #1, which was completed in 2015, located 75 feet behind us..."

    The weird thing about Mississippi is that I’ve seen about 3-4 Saabs there-it’s Interesting!

    • @504RoadTrips
      @504RoadTrips  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We don’t see them often. I have seen (and taken a picture of) 5 different Saabs in the New Orleans area in the last 3 years. We saw a 9-3 out here on the Coast the year before last. They’re pretty uncommon in the south.
      When we were in Minneapolis in July, we saw 5 of them in two hours of driving around.

    While I'm sure Cruisin' The Coast is a great time, NOTHING compares to Jeff Davis Ave. in Long Beach cruising Friday and Saturday nights in the early to mid 80's!

    • @504RoadTrips
      @504RoadTrips  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sure that was something to see! I'll bet a lot of those young people who were out there doing that in the 80s are now the older people who come out to Cruisin' the Coast.

    • @robertd9000
      @robertd9000 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't doubt that one bit! I live in CO now and have been thinking of moving back to the Coast. If I end up back home, I will most definitely partake in the Cruisin' the Coast events and perhaps even replicate the vehicle I cruised with back then....
