Luke sounded so cute at 1:41 when he was doing the "doo doo doo do do do do do do do" thing. and screamo Cal at 2:03 was so hot. 1:50 ash knocked his symbols over lol. 1:06 "Michael's not here" made me wanna cry. The boys (especially cal) looked really depressed the whole time.

Just looked through the comments and saw that people were being ride about them using a backing track! They probably had to use one because Michael wasn't there other wise the song would have sounded off as there was only luke on guitar! Also some of the harmonising would have sounded off too without it! Even though ash luke and cal would have sounded great anyway and because it was broad casted they will have used one anyway! Also just because they have a backing track does not make them bad artists, if you have ever played an instrument to a backing track you will know how tricky it is and you have to be good at it for it to sound good ! So don't put them down by saying a backing track makes the seem rubbish and crap! How many of you can go out and perform live like that sound amazing with one key person missing?

Under the drum thing there is a foot petal that can make the drum noise if stepped on, it could have been that...
you know that studio version is always over the original sound when they record stuff like that, right? It's because it sounds better. None of the instruments are "live" on videos like that, but they can play live when they are there.
But they actually didn't play live on Jingle Bell Ball because Michael wasn't there so they had prerecorded instruments.
It's called a bass pedal and that's what he uses to get sound out of the bass drum
