I watched is video a month ago, after losing my two colonies during the winter. I decided to use all the supers, brood boxes, floors and roofs I had, to make up six bait hives.
They have been out for 3 weeks. 5 of the 6 set up now have colonies in with a lot of interest in number 6.
    Absolutely incredible.
    Thank you

Gruff ,serious now , I learn so much through your vids , I made a swarm trap out of some old pallet wood , about 40L in size , had nothing in it for a bit , then remembered this vid that it had to be about a metre up at least , banged on 4 lengths of pallet wood as legs , massive swarm later the same day! Big thank you for the tips !

Just caught two swarms out of my own colony that I had already made a split from about a month ago. With weather improving now, and a whole week of sunny weather forecasted, we can finally hope for some good mating flights and some laying queens. Fingers and toes are firmly crossed.

I got 2 bait hives and in the last week or so they been busy catching swarms🤣 I just use 1 old black comb and I find starter strips work better than foundation. I them swap them out for foundation. Catch several every year. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work 🐝🐝🐝

I've found around my area with the Ash dieback we've been having, there are a fair few trees with bees living in the cavities. I would recommend placing swarm traps near these huge dying ash trees. I've counted maybe 5 or 6 wild colonies around the valley, mostly in the dead Ash.
