I’d suggest learning on strategist. The role is almost never taken, you have a great view of all team fights which can help you learn how team fights look, and despite what most people think, you can really carry on strategist. I’d suggest starting with Jeff. Then going whatever character looks fun.
I'm a cloak and dagger main with a pocket hela. Both characters are really fun to play but something about cloak and dagger just keeps me picking them every game. I know Mantis is considered the better pick but I really think people underestimate Cloak's abilities like fear cape and the invisibility which don't show up in the main stats.
I stopped playing snap so I'm very happy your going to make videos on Rivals. Great videos. And the message at the end is sometime that we forgot we play to have fun.
Squirrel girl is a very simple character. Nice movement ability to get away from Melee characters (mostly Iron Fist), Stun that is fairly easy to hit allowing some easy satisfying KOs, and a weapon that doesn't require crazy good accuracy.
Coming from Overwatch is such a huge advantage. I've had so many matches where it was obvious who had experience in this gerne and who hadn't. This makes the matches kinda feel ike steamrolls sometimes, but I guess we're all getting better now that the game is out haha
I know where I'm coming for my marvel rivals content. Would love to see a mistakes video made by someone to help new players understand things they may be doing wrong.

Yeah coming from a casual gamer, I recommend the tutorial. They do train you with Punisher so it’s a good start.

I’d suggest rocket or Jeff the shark. Start on a strategist since it will almost always be a good choice and people don’t pick it.
