It's tall and weighs 400 pounds. If you drop it it will hurt you and/or you would have a time getting upright by yourself. That's one consideration. The handling is nimble but not nervous. The power comes on early and there is a steady increase in power to redline, not at all like an inline 4. I think it really depends on what you want. It's basically a tweaked Sportster in a space frame chassis with good brakes...so it's pretty mellow. But it can also carve the twisties right along with squids
@CyberDruidtheModGod would you say that an x1 is a good beginner bike? I'm 18 and there is an x1 for sale locally at $3,500 with 33k miles. Thanks, connor
@milkster100 It's possible. It could be a host of things though...slight intake manifold leak, bad or loose head temp sensor, old spark plugs, the Race ECM, the gutted race can. All those could add up to a little issue with cold start. Good catch though. Keep the shiney side up ;)
@CyberDruidtheModGod Yeah I know the feeling, I got a CB600F now, want to upgrade to a VFR or a triumph sprint ST but I don't want to sell or trade it my CB...life ;)
One of the nicest X1's!
I have the same bike and I need one of those shocks and one of those rotors. I absolutely love it.
