The 2011 Braun BOTY finals held in Montpellier, France, was a true celebration of all things hip-hop. Top b-boy crews from around the world competed for the glory of winning the 'world championship of breakdancing'.
The Braun BOTY is much more than a contest. It's a week-long festival of hip-hop culture, featuring 1 vs 1 and We B*Girlz battles, gigs, workshops and more to ensure the event stays true to its b-boy roots - spreading hip-hop culture to a larger public audience.
The Battle Of The Year has come a long way. Who would have thought that BOTY would go from starting out back in 1990 in a local youth culture centre with 500 hard core fans to an arena packed with more than 12,000 roaring spectators and B-Boy crews from all over the world taking part.
BOTY has grown massively, more and more people can relate to the vision of evolving the spirit of breakdance and creating an international event platform that allows B-Boys and B-Girls from all different countries to express their creativity in front of an ever-growing audience

This performance was total nonstop action. Perfectly choreographed and executed. Not a dull moment.

Incredible how this was probably on the top 3 of the best show ever in boty history. Yet it didn`t qualify that year. Imagine the level of corruption (or ignorance) of the judges.

@@brunocorbani8140 Incredible! I apologies then, i did not know. I still think it`s a very stupid rule in this case considering that Jinjo were moving at lightspeed and executed perfectly it`s pointless to put a minimum time of 6 minutes.

20대 때는 그 때에 맞게, 10여년이 지난 지금은 지금에 맞게 변화하여 최고의 모습을 보여줘서 감사할 따름임
와..진짜 너무 멋있어요..처음에는 놀라움 두번째는 감탄 마지막은 감동..태극기 딱 들 때 왜 눈물이 찔끔나는지 감격스럽네요😭😭 정말 날개가 없어도 날아 다닐 수가 있군요..이 멋있는 사람들 안 본 사람 없게 해주세요!!!!!!!

Best bboy crew performance ever. Very well choreographed. Just flawless. Maybe not the most technical or creative performance, but you dont need big moves or weird concept to win thr highest price. This is like oscar winning movie.

The best performance EVER!!!! The worst BOTY EVER!!!!!
I was there live it was not the worst boty ever, it was kinda fun cause we didnt know who would win or get in the finals cause it was different crews then we were used to. And seeing Battle Born reach the finals was pretty cool, because me and my friends were the only ones cheering for them and everyone else was booing cause france hates america lol

I never noticed this year's result i thought jinjo took it but There was not any korean crew in battle round even they took wrong decision for nine state bboys japan too. Oh wait ! No wonder it was happening in France.

2016 and i'm still butthurt over the fact that the judges didn't pass this showcase. 2011 was pretty lame. Vagabonds had an easy win. it would be better if we at least got vagabonds vs jinjo in final or semifinal.

Yooo, after watching this showcase aswell as the 2018 showcase by jinjo crew, i honestly could not see any crew beating them through out these 7 years, but in a way im glad they came back this year to show everyone around the world that jinjo crew is a big threat to other nations and are here to stay for the long run through battle of the year, if i had to choose my prediction for 2019, well i guess thats easy
I was in the audience back then. No one could understand why they didn't pass to the battles with such a performance...
Eye opening moves: Air flare, chair spin, kicking handstand, 2000, rotating turtle freeze with 1 hand after that, and PULLING OUT THE KOREAN FLAG WOOHOO!!:)

I was there and everybody was wondering why they didn't make it to top4. It seems the problem was the length of the show 4min instead of 6min. Also this is the exact same show that R16 (4month before). Anyhow it would be easy to check since BOTY publish the judges grade on their website

When I saw the scorecards from that year they placed somewhere around 2nd to last. Some say it's because they used the same winning showcase from R16 earlier during the year, but who knows.
