I used to say the LFA and CGT sound better than this but now I have matured and realised this is far better. The other two sound so thin like you only hear one frequency one note, this thing here has a much richer sound with way more hearable subharmonics especially... Though yeah unfair advantage with aftermarket exhaust, it doesn't sound anything like this stock
Alex, after reading all your progress, I just wanted to say you're a legend, bro. Hats off to you. Although I've started 6 years after you did, I'm already in the process too. I'm gonna make it far, no matter how much sacrifice and how long it takes. God bless you

Lol this has nothing to do with the crank.. It's all in the engine tune, how much fuel you are injecting on overrun and also which material is being used for the exhaust, as the loudness on overrun is caused by the rapid cooling of the exhaust (which is influenced by exhaust material) when you go off throttle and the pops and bangs by the unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust

Yes. And the whole “what do you for a living” question is honestly irrelevant. Doesn’t matter. No one with a job can afford a gallardo/huracan unless you’re a doctor. That’s just common sense. Entrepreneurship is the answer 99% of the time when asking who do people afford these cars.
@@toneiv6560 Considering you can find these cars in the 100k range it is very possible for people making less than 6 figures to afford an exotic like a Gallardo. There are extended term financing options. A hefty down payment and great credit will net someone a relatively low monthly payment. Not saying it is the wisest financial decision to finance a car like this but at or close to the bottom of their depreciation curve it may be a better choice than taking a loan out on a newer car in this price range that will tank in value. I do not think it is entirely out of the realm of possibility for someone making 60 to 80K to afford this car. Just depends on other debts and what your priorities are!
@@toneiv6560 lol James AKA the stradman financed his when he was making 35k a year, he had great credit, no children or wife and paid 800$ for rent, it is totally possible to be able to afford an exotic if it doesn't exceed 10% of your gross income, that is the standard rule, you can try to finance a car for more than 10% of your gross income but unless your bringing in half the down payment, the bank is not going to take that risk
guys i think hes talking about the yellow superleggera he chased a while ago which i know it isnt the same car since that was a superleggera and this isnt
Better sounding think about it. The LFA sounds like one note being played this sounds like a whole chord with more subharmonics to the dominant tone. How can a single note be better?
Yes many. Mainly the 5.0 is fuel injection outside of cylinder, 5.2 is direct injection. Also 5.0 has split crankpins which are offset by 18° in order to get even 72° firing intervals instead of 90°-54° uneven firing intervals, which allows this high pitch true 10 cylinder sound. Meanwhile on the 5.2 they ditched this for cost and durability reasons so it has normal joined crankpins and uneven firing intervals and it sounds more like a 5 cylinder
Ouch this one is difficult! I dunno man, they both sound very awesome (and then there's also the Carrera GT's v10). The LFA's engine revs so quickly, they had to replace the analog gauge with a digital one, now that's just wack. And don't forget the LFA's exhaust is tuned by Yamaha's sound division...
@@HeckinwhatonearthHehe yes I know. Yamaha is frequently sought after whenever a high-revving engine is being developed. I'd settle for either one though :D
@@gitanodel69 Good one, I think the Gallardo's less muffled and has a more clearer tone. Maybe because the engine sits in the rear and has much shorter piping. I've heard a v10 M6 with straight piping irl and that was almost like a Gallardo's v10 in the upper rev-range though. Crazy sound!
I like it when the Lambo is tested in highway not local streets it's just stop and go stop and go. Lamborghini was made to run brake the sound barrier ok iam exaggerated a bit but highway is better.
Pre LP Gallardo is one of the best sounding cars ever. And straight piped is even better
Totally agree! Hard to top this V10 (except Carrera GT).

This is so cool so you guys are in Chicago land!
Because it had Lamborghini 5.0 V10
After 2008 they started giving 5.2 Audi V10
Just wow. I just cant imagine how good it sounds irl

The fact that you almost wrote a complete sentence and just gave up at the end.

Lfa kid

Do you know what he does for a living?
I like how "dirty" the overrun is on the offset-crank V10s. Sounds like some of the older Le Mans cars.
You think that has something to do with the offset crank?
Lol this has nothing to do with the crank.. os there a mechanical difference between the 5.0 and 5.2?
