Repeat has amazing insight into his family of origin issues. I'm sure prison provided groups and therapy enabling him to gain insight into his childhood trauma. That's the first step to recovering from childhood trauma. I would love for him to get therapy at his local county mental health facility. If he has a probation officer he could get inked to his county services free of charge. I know for me, I had to feel the pain of my past in order to liberate myself from it. Grieving was excruciatingly painful but I'm liberated from my past. The price of freedom is high but always worth it. Alberto Einstein said " The true value of a human being is determined primarily by the measure and the sense in which he has attained liberation from the self." I'm sending Repeat nothing but good vibes and prayers.

I’m sad to hear of Hye Jung’s passing 😔 She was hurting… mentally and physically. The drug was the only way she knew how to make herself feel something. This really hit home, I'm so sad for him for what he went through as a child. Hearing him say that if he hears someone screaming rather than run away, he runs toward them because they might need help..such a kind soul♥️♥️♥️ I'd love to be able to hug this man.

This was back in 1978..i wanted my Mothers crys to stop. My Father would beat her so bad in front of me...i just wanted it all to stop. I can not imagine now, as a adult.. how a 6 year old would even know or want to kill themselves. I only share this horror story because I believe adults should know the impact of their actions. When my Dad put the shot gun to her head..she finally left. 💜💜💜💜💜 Being aware of our own actions is the first step in making a change.
It is a shame City Councils do not see even a 5 minute clip of this. Saying, look housing (if you people want to offer it) is great... but I am a grown man! A Vet! A good person. House me or do not. No one should be telling me when to come in. So many people can not sleep at night for many reasons. If it was entirely his place he could come and go as he pleased without accounting to anyone about anything. Unless or until a resident becomes a problem in the same exact way you or I might in an apartment, unless a sensible rule is broken... he should be offered housing period. No strings attached. No Vet should be on the street. He more than earned his Freedom and it is ridiculous anyone is “Should - ing” all over him. If he wants therapy he knows he can get it. Forced therapy is utterly useless.
Annie, you're right but there's two sides to this story. Maybe, he doesn't want to do right. Maybe, all those requirements are temp and u can transition into independent living. He seems all there and capable of living on his own and supporting himself. We don't know the whole story. God bless his heart.

i just discovered the Repeat videos. I look up to this guy so much, his stories, demeanor and everything.... just amazing.

I feel you ,Repeat. As soon as I hear "program", it's over. People get tired of being treated like this when they need assistance. The "program" is structurally abusive and triggering by default bc its not genuine.
Repeat is a very intelligent, very inspiring gentleman.

Mark, this is the first time out of all of the interviews you’ve done of Repeat where you note that he is on Skid Row in the opening. I really liked that you labeled his story with just his name and the topics, but I still feel this interview did him justice. Thanks for all you do.
