This man is super talented, creative, handsome AND a goofball. Trully the whole package. Love to see your work
The goof is essential for my existence! thank you so much.
His videos make me Laugh so hard 😂
Seeing you carve your sculptures is the reason, why we're here, so please don't worry to much about your video format. We love your stuff!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words
You have such wonderful ideas for carvings, and I always marvel at the skill it takes to make them a reality. So happy to hear that you're able to sell your work to fund more future projects!
Thank you! Its supernice to get some sales. All i can do is put in my best effort and hope for the best!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful craft. I enjoy your repetitive content, because it is you sharing your art. Your art is beautiful and enchanting to watch. Take care, Jonas. ❤
Thank you! You understand my plan perfectly! I am in fact putting most of the focus on the artwork
The textures in the grain of that manta piece are stunning! Absolutely beautiful design that I think utilised the grain well. Congrats
Yes i have more of that board and it does have some more amazing figure in it.
Your confidence and speed with your tools has definitely has improved in the past year or so. You and BM Sculptures are my favs.
Oh honored to be mentioned along an excellent artist like Bm Sculptures
And once more some really nice sculptures.
It's also great to see you try out more different styles with the kind of "integrated" design you've chosen.
Thank you! Yeah im happy every time im able to brainstorm out an idea like this.
This is the only man on earth who Jas coffee with his turkeys well woodworking! 😂😂😂
I just found this channel. I do a lot of "surface texturing" on pieces, but mostly functional things like tables, benches, some cabinets. MOST of what I have done is with normal gouges, not power, but I've used some power too at times. I've also done a fair amount of things like picture frames or mirror frames. I want to do some carving like you are doing, but, frankly, you have a lot of talent for that which I don't think i can have. I'll have to get braver to try a bit more... Thanks for showing all the process. You really are unique.
Soo beautiful! The birds turned out soo elegant! I love the swimming rays! They flow so beautifully
Thank you so muchB
Jonas, you are blessed with awesome talent 👏 🙌 your creations are absolutely beautiful and so inspiring and relaxing to watch 🙏thank you so very much and God bless 🙌
So beautiful and creative! It wasn't repetitive, I love to see all the details as a wood carver myself.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words
I'm always in awe of your carvings and the process, however repetitive it may seem, they always end up unique and beautiful! 🏆🙌
Thank you!
Love both pieces, but especially the manta rays. 🥰Shake that oil. 🤣🤣
Thank you so much! Yeah shake it!
Two more projects incredibly well made! Watching your creative process is soothing and your silliness interspersed through the video is entertaining. You are so incredibly skilled and your carvings are always a joy to see come to life!
Thank you so much!
I really like "Arrival of Spring", the organic bird forms contrast sso nicely with the squares
Thank you! Yeah i like it too, But today when i looked at it i was wondering how others sees it
Absolutely stunning ! Keep this little spark, that's make the whole thing crazier !
Thank you! I will try my best!
Both sculptures look absolutely brilliant 👍🏻
Thank you so much!
I LOVE watching your videos! Amazing work and great sense of humor! Thank you for sharing your craft!
Thank you! Im glad you like my goofiness 😅
haha the end of the vid is fantastic XD amazing work!!
Thank you!
I bought a fox pendant a few months ago, I hang it from my back since I'm not a necklace person, and it's gorgeous!
Your work is amazing. I love the "Journey to familiar waters" sculpture.
Thank you so much! I like both equally i think.
Spectacular work Jonas! See by the bandages on your fingers it's a true labour of love. Well done!
Thank you! Well to be honest those came from two heavy days of fishing.
never say sorry for making such wonderfull stuffs! no matter how "repetitive" that seems like- is always a wonderfull time to see you create fluid shapes in wood!! wood!!
if nails channels or smile channels can get away with showing the same things with differents desings so can you!! (I speak as someone who loves art nail channels! being creative comes in many shapes and ways! it can look "the same" but never is no work you do is exactly the same- is just unique !!
Thank you so much for the kind words! It is very motivation for me to read something like this.
Repetitive ??? Every sculpture is so unique and gorgeous!! Jonas has a beautiful style and strong creative vision with every piece! Don't feel bad about having your own style and vision, especially when it's so cool :)
i always feel as if i cant begin to complement
your sculptures enough,
as im always blown away by them.
all my best simon uk
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind feedback!
Cheers! Jonas
Your work is,as always, amazing and inspiring. The ray sculpture, I have no words, seriously no words to describe the awe I feel. One day I will own a piece that you have created, a promise to myself. Thank you for sharing your talent ❤
Thank you so much! Im hoping to be able to create some smaller sculptures are well for my shop in the future
Your work is not repetitive, always something new. The manta rays is my favourite of the two, great flow and beautiful curves. I think your work deserves better presentation in the end, I know it’s hard but think about it..
Great work
Thank you for the kind words and feedback! I will keep it in mind for my next creation.
Cheers from Norway
Fantastic work and ALWAYS a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Thank you! Had fun with this one
Two excellent pieces! Both came out wonderful. They are definitely something to be proud of. I'm glad you had some fun, too (please be careful on the roof).
Thank you! I will keep the goof of the video at a high level!
Really enjoy watching you work. Great creativity! Keep shaking that oil 😂😂
Thank you! Oh yes i will keep shaking that oil! 😅
This manta ray one would look sick on a pedestal, horizontal way! It does not belong on a wall!!! The mouths are too precious to be hidden away. Great job Jonas!
Hmm oh i think it looks awesome on a wall, But who knows, maybe your idea is better
2 amazing sculptures and some amazing satisfying moments too!! I'm really happy you popped up on my feed
That is very kind of you to say! And i am so happy you checked out my video!
Oh my I would pay top dollar if you could do this with horses.
Your work is sensational. ❤❤
Great work! Let us spend more time enjoying the final product!
Noted!
An elk sculpture would be super cool, and compliment the walnut wood nicely. You could even have the sap wood of the walnut near the antlers to match them better in color
I agree! I need to be able to glue wood together for larger blocks
Ihre Seele und Harmonie fliessen in ihre Schöpfungen ein ...das ist es was die Menschen lieben, sehen und fühlen. Danke
Thank you!
Wow, we got two sculptures in one video - very happy to see these beautiful works of art. Thank you.
Thank you!
Jonas you're such a talented dork! Love your imagination. 🙏
Thanks! It means a lot to me to be mentioned as a talented dork 😊
Jonas,
Thank you for the beautiful double feature. Thank you for taking time to carve, film, edit and post this video.
You are very welcome and thank you for checking out the video!
This design of the birds and the blocks would have made a great lamp if you hollowed out the blocks and put lights there hanging it from the roof.
And if it did hang from the roof it might have been cool to have variety in the height of the blocks.
Thats an incredibly crrate and great idea!
I love the bit of comedy with this. Great work. Subscribing
Absolutely beautiful work my friend you are a pro I see. 👍
Thank you so much!
They are both absolutely beautiful, and I find it so facinating how different feel they give off while still exploring the same concept. The fan of the birds wings contrast really well with the edges of the squares, making them very distinct and with good silhuettes. I've fond myself really drawn towards your more angular and geometric squlptures. But the manta rays and the wave also just works perfectly together. I love how the shape kinda melts together, creating one fluid piece. Where I love the birds being seperated and clear, I equally love the rays for being so smooth and blended. It's almost hard to believe its wood!
Thank you! I am thinking the same way as you. They both got different qualities to them. And i appreciate the feedback since this was kind of an experimental design for me.
Wowwww....oltre ad essere una persona molto simpatica e divertente con i tuoi video, rimani un grandissimo e bravo Artista. Complimenti, complimenti, complimenti.
Thank you so much!!
Hey! Jonas, absolutely love your sculptures. From a sketch to a finished sculpture is amazing. Have you ever thought about doing a sculpture of an Australian Duck-Billed Platypus Swimming Up Stream or something to that effect? Anyway, love your work and your videos.
All I can say, I Love It. It is a pleasure to watch you create. Thank you again. As the previous person said, Keep shacking that oil😅
Thank you! I will shake the oil forever!!
Both of these are incredible beautiful (and the dancing cracks me up every time lol) , one day i will add something of yours to my walls, i just gotta save up a little lol
Thank you! Im glad tou enjoyed my dancing, even tho it might be kind of lacking rhythm 🤔😅
Interesting! I was under the impression of you creating a giant manta ray from a square slab of wood, but this is pretty cool too!
That would be a cool thing to do!
Your videos are so much fun and interesting. My kids laughed a ton watching you goof off. Thanks for making videos. I know how hard TH-cam can be so it is great to see you doing well.
That means a lot for me to hear! Thank you for letting me know!
I thoroughly enjoy watching what you create and i love your sense of humour Jonas! Just wish i lived closer so i could get Walnut to you as i live where they produce the nuts and have logs given to me for free!
Thank you! I was thinking i went s bit overboard with the sillyness in this video, But well it brings me joy to add it in there so why not
The birds with the squares would be a great place to hang 4 pictures.
Good idea!
I was stunned when at 9 minutes of of my favorite songs played. HEYSON!! step bro, such a solid track.
Cool! But to be honest i did kind of create a missmatch between the tempo of the video and those hype songs
Truly stunning 😍 beautiful pieces of art 👌awesome work 👏
Thank you so much!!
Amazing!! Your creative mind and woodcarving skills are truly inspiring. I still want to buy one of your sketch books. Thank you
Thank you! Yeah i would like to make a compiled sketchbook maybe at the end of the year. I still think i need mote sketches tho to fill it completely
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft you could actually make copies, sign them, and sell them
Love the injections of humour!
Thank you!
As usual, very creative and beautiful work Jonas! 👍👍
Thank you so much!
I really love the funny stuff in the videos. Also, I like that you started doing wall art, it seems more practical
Thank you! Im sure i will make something else next year. Its a lot of fun to switch it up!
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft Have you ever thought about collaborating with other TH-camrs? Such as Bobby Duke maybe?
love them both. Your work is great, beautiful, and inspiring. You and Nick Zammeti need to get together and have fun on a joint project, your both very enjoyable to watch.
That would be cool!
Absolutely stunning work
Thank you!
"A Journey to Familiar Waters" is my favorite of these two! What a stunning piece of wood, also!
Thank you! Yeah i feel like it has the most character, But i feel like the bird one looks really aesthetic on the wall just as a piece of home decor
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft The bird one does look aesthetic indeed. I was just wondering what will happen with the squares? Are they just squares or is the something meant to be attached to?
@@ionawoodart No deep meaning. I just sat a late evening and scribbled in my sketchbook and i felt like it was an unique design.
The chickens are adorable!
Yes i agree! We have s couple of ducks as well. They are joy bringers
Jonas you are awesome thank you for the great content .
Thank you so much!
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Jonas , areas my self i see your art as totally a step above and more, fine art. its fantastic , i watch your videos totally mesmerized and deep into it with your every move. no not creepy crap, i too am a artisan as a chainsaw carver and i do chacuterie and end butcher locks .

Thank you so much! Its important for me to stand out with my creations and i appreciate that you say i do, means a lot
Lovely carvings Jonas, well done
Thank you so much!
I absolutely love manta rays. If i could afford it I would 100% buy that art work
Thank you so much!
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft our exchange rate is 20 to 1. I get $381 per month lol. Exchange rates are the worst 😆🤪🙈
Oooh, I love the manta ray sculpture 😍
Thank you so much!
Brilliant
The good goofy sculptor nerd! I am a fan 🤩😜
Heyy! Thank you for the support!
Keep the bar up. As always, a masterpiece.

Oh i love the magnificent flippity flapper floppers of the sea!!! 💖 I would love to see more sea creatures!!
Thank you!
As always, fantastic work. I can't decide which I like better. Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Nice pice of wood🙈...and beautiful carving🦅😃👍
Thanks! Glad i have more of it for future projects
As always beautiful work sir!!! And digging the content!! Keep pushing and keep inspiring sir!!!
Thank you so much!
Superb!!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you Jonas 🙏 Your designs are beautiful 💫
Was thinking that the squares between the birds could look amazing with world clocks/time zones around the world - on the wall in companies, banks, hospitals etc. (just a thought).
Thank you! Yeah if i make more of those square sculptures i will add inscriptions on the squarea
Very nice!! The mantas are outstanding! Still waiting for that Salmon/Trout or whale/orca.... :o)
Thank you!
Super cool❤!!!
Thank you!
Beautiful as always Jonas
Thank you so much!
These are fantastic, love them. Thank you x❤ would you be able to create a group of galloping horses, please. 😁
Thank you! That would be amazing to do one day!
Grande obra de arte magnífico trabalho
Thank you!
KEEP UP THE GREAT AMAZING WORK!!!
Thank you so much!
Hè hè 😂, you should make some t-shirts as merchandise… with the quote ‘shake that oil’
I bet it will sell good 😄
Yeah maybe ill work hard to make that my slogan
Stay happy
Absolutely love how youve started to get so comfortable with making videos that you are getting goofy with it 😂 also your bird piece is astonishing! Ik for a fact if i had it hung up id add pictures in the squares of friends or family that have passed so its almost as if their being carried away into the skies ❤
Edit: i forgot the manatas! They are astonishing i truly adore the flow of the piece!!
Thank you so much! The picture idea is a great one!
This video really made my day! This project was fantastic to take part in. I am a grandfather who makes little owls, spoons and fantasy figures for my grandchildren! I am impressed with your imagination, knowledge and amazing craftsmanship! Thank you so much for sharing! What type of oil did you use to complete the project?
Thank you so much! I also enjoy a lot to make stuff for my nephews, Mostly wooden cups and pendants. For these projects i uses Liberon finishing oil, But i must be honest and say i am not that knowledgeable when it comes to oils, I just know the liberon oil is a strong durable one
beautiful carvings
Thank you so much!
Hé , dis dont... il faudrait revoir l'affûtage de la gouge là. Je t'ai à l'oeil !! 😁 . Magnifique travail, comme d'habitude. 👏👍
Yes i am guilty of not taking care of my chissels.. ooof 😅
Looks amazing bro also love the video funny bits 😂
Thank you! I appreciate you liking my sillyness 🤪
Wish the stingrays were in a white patina to see all of the detailed work you put in this creation.
Uau! It's wonderful, can you do an octopus? Thanks
Thank you! Its something i would like to try in the future
¡¡¡Magnífico trabajo!!!
Thank you!
Always, always beautiful 😍.
Thank you so much!!
I SUGGEST to sculpt the squares of the birds as books, and engraving the title of some famous novels. Add LEDs for lighting in the night, the birds will look like flying on wall.
Leds would be fun to work with, But i generally like to keep the wood intact and in one piece for it to shine
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft it's just backlight to show in 3D.. don't put anything in wood.
2:41 good god man, sharpen that chisel!! 😮 😂
Aand thats why i do not use chissels that much 🤔 They are all dull and i cant shapen them
@Jonasolsenwoodcraft once sharpened, the joy of carving gets a new high. Nothing better than the sound of a sharp blade cutting through wood. 😉😊
I love Manta Rays or in their latin name Majesticus Sea Flap Flapicus 😂😂😂 fantatic woodcarving by the way 👍
Hey thank you so much!
This was so cool. You should tru making a hammer shark over corral or just the shark sometime 😊
That would be cool!
A Sculpture Never Seen Before ? isn't that kind of the point and the uniqueness of art. The key is its communication and aesthetics and acceptance by a person or viewers.
Your videos are always an inspiration. Please never stop carving.
Thank you!
