Not About By Us Cardinals Fans!🏟️⚾🤔🤨 Thanks 👍 Willie "Jack" McGee! 🏟️⚾😎🤓🙂😜 Typed This At 5:54 a.m. , Thursday Morning 🌅 , July 20, 2023, By John Clark.
I never think about the Brewers being that strong of a franchise, but this 82 club had four HOF players: Yount, Molitor, Sutton and Simmons. Anyways I had just started my freshman yr of college when I remembering watching this in my dorm room.
I remember this Friday night game. Do not get me wrong, it is nice to have power hitters. I know McGee hit the HR (1:13:28); yet, I miss players such as Molitor, Gantner, McGee ( an outstanding catch 2:21:42), Herr, Ozzie, Hernandez- get the batter on & attempt to steal or sacrifice, before the analytics of today.
The Cardinals had no power. George Hendrick lead the team with 19 home runs. Milwaukee should have killed this team. What a major upset in 82. Out of the Angels, Brewers, Dodgers, Braves, and Kansas city the Cardinals won it all. Who would have thought.
@@MIKIEEYEZ1975 you're a douchebag, the 80's Cards teams were great teams and a helluva lot of fun to watch and my teams from that era were the Royals, who the Cards probably would have beaten in 85 if not for a horrible call, and the Mets with whom the Cards had probably the best rivalry in baseball in the mid to late 80's so I can say with confidence that they were tough to beat. If everyone loves homeruns so much then why does MLB's attendance and ratings keep going down year after year even with the artificially inflated numbers due to roids, the juiced ball and shit pitching? The answer is that people don't like it because the homerun, walk, strikeout, and the always entertaining ground out into the shift is mind numbingly boring and impossible to watch.
FALSE. The Cardinals were better. Best defensive with clutch pitching and great average hitters with speed. POOR BREWER FANS WAAAHHH WAAAAAHHHHH 🥺🥺🥺🥺😢😢😢😢😢🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@MIKIEEYEZ1975 exposed. We got cheated by an umpire in the 1985. And half our team was injured in 1987, and we were up 3-2 in that series. If we were healthy we would have swept the Twins. Waaahhh wahhhhhh. You’ll never see the Brewers win in your life!!!! 😢😢🥺🥺🥺🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely legendary game by McGee that is often forgotten about.

McGee was probably a notch and a half below HOF status. But we loved him in St. Louis. Always productive, always reliable. A humble man, too.
Pete Vuckovich, a fine starting pitcher...memorably portrayed Yankees slugger Clu Heywood in "Major League".

They should have just invited Leslie Nielsen from Police Squad to perform the National Anthem?
You mean Enrico Palazzo.
Boy you can really here how good Scully called games after these two.

McGee walked like he had a broomstick shoved up his rear end. Other than that he had a hell of a game.
Where was Frank Charles, the Milwaukee organist? I loved his charges and "Go Brewers Go" organ chants.
He was in Vegas shooting Craps at Caesars!!
Willie Willie Willie
BREWERS SHOULD HAVE WON GAME 2… WHAT A CHOKE!! SUTTON SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT IN THE 6th WHEN PIRTER WAS UP.. THAT WAS TIME FOR MCCLURE!!
National anthem fail.
She kept her composure, powered through.
Kept Vuko in too long. Harvey should have yanked him long before.

It aint all about the long ball. The best team in 1982, yes team, was the St. Louis Cardinals.
@@cards1985 You’re a JERKOFF!! Cardinals Punch & Judy! They were exposed in ‘85 & ‘87 when they faced “REAL” TEAMS!! 😂😂😂💪
