I was on a study permit and recently already got my work permit and my husband also has a valid work permit so what should be the answer? yes or no? Also, do you think this is all the options that need to be considered or only any applicable one option that needs to be considered? Are you a spouse, common-law partner, or dependent child of a person who:
Holds a valid work permit or is applying for a work permit;
holds a temporary resident permit that is valid for 6 months or more;
applied for permanent residence to an office in Canada and was determined to be eligible for permanent resident status (first stage approval); or
is subject of a removal order that is unenforceable

If I'm not wrong our biometric is valid for 10 years. There was a question where it asks did you give your fingerprints in last 10 years, it was supposed to be Yes, bur you selected know. So, it showed you $85 fees for that as well. My question here is, would it be fine if we answer Yes for the biometric? Will it save our time and money?

No its a visa extension.
Visa extension is not necessary to live in Canada, but if you want to go out of Canada, you need the visa to enter back in Canada. But study permit is necessary to study in Canada
