No disrespect meant to Notre Dame, or to the great Digger Phelps, but Kenny Smith didn't play in this game. If he had, there's no way the Irish would have won. Proof of that is when UNC beat them in tournament a month later.

I could not agree more. I missed their old college basketball theme that sounds like a band playing.
