This video is all about finding out we're pregnant and telling our friends and family. As well, we have had a tumultuous first couple of months with an unforeseen health scare. We feel incredibly grateful to be on the other side of the first trimester. Bec is officially 14 weeks pregnant!!

The most exciting news of our lives!! So so happy to announce that we are into the second trimester and Baby Fitz is doing well 🥰❤!! I’m a nurse and when you said the Radiologist came in and said “this is not a good time to be pregnant” I wanted to scream. What a B-itch-that’s NOT good bedside manner. I’m so sorry you’re going through your first pregnancy this way Bec. You guys are amazing and you will be the best parents. I’m crying along with you, and can’t wait until the end of the video where it’s all good news!! ❤❤

The radiologist shouldn’t have said that and definitely needs to take a class on bedside manners and how to speak with patients in a more positive way. This is part of God’s plan for you two and you will be awesome parents. Seriously it’s a miracle that you were able to get pregnant after going through such an aggressive treatment with both hardcore chemo and the radiation treatments that followed it. You are seriously blessed. Keeping you and your miracle baby in my prayers and sending you lots of positive Reiki energy and prayers. I am a breast cancer and endometrial cancer survivor for 12&10 years and I know how all of the various treatments and medications can affect the body and it can take decades for the affects to go away if they ever do. I also had a cancer scare right before one of my routine checks every 6 months and thankfully it was just some fat that had calcified and because I had lost a lot of weight I was able to feel it. I am so excited for you and congratulations to you both 🤰🏻🤱🏻👶🏻💙💜💙💜

Bec, I just want to say congratulations to you. I am also a cancer survivor and recently found out I was pregnant. We were actually pregnant right around the same time! Unfortunately, I lost my baby at five weeks due to a miscarriage. It has been really difficult, but watching this video was somewhat cathartic for me. I felt so much relief for you when you found out you were in the clear and could finally celebrate and enjoy your pregnancy. I just truly wish you the very best with this new journey and want you to know that I think you're a beautiful and exceptional woman and I am so excited to see this all happening for you. All the best to you and Eamon. I love watching you guys!

As a healthcare provider myself, that was NOT okay that she said that. First of all you don't have cancer so it is a good time, and it is our job to help patients no matter what. I was so mad watching that part, but of course so happy for the rest!
I said the same. I get really pissed when people who don't know you, don't fully know your medical journey, just blurt out stuff like that. Extremely insensitive.
Yeah not okay. I was a solo parent dealing with the stress of that reality and a psychologist I went to told me solo parenting was impossible and I should get rid of the baby. What a price of shit. I now have a healthy and happy and well adjusted and I want to say again happy almost 21 year old daughter!!!!
I agree 100% for anyone to make a patient feel worse is just not ok. Don’t ever judge another human for anything because you don’t know what their lives are like and if you can’t not judge at least keep your mouth shut, especially someone in healthcare!

That med tech had ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE bedside manner!!! No matter what the circumstances, it is never right to make a person feel so bad especially in such a callous way. Personally I would have wanted to report her on her lack of tact. I for one am thrilled for you. You (both) deserve so happiness in your lives after everything you've been through the last year. Exactly - they should leave their opinions to themselves. My baby was born without a right ear and the nurse told me he might have problems. She used a word I won't say here. But this son of mine is 24 and a brilliant engineer! He speaks three languages and also know so many computer languages. So opinions should be kept to yourself in situations like these.

I cant believe people announce that they are pregnant to EVERYONE once the test is positive. You should really want 2-3 months after the initial testing with the doctor before doing so...

My mom gave birth to me after finding out she had relapsed in her breast cancer and chose to carry out her pregnancy instead of doing treatment and I was born the same as my brothers, who were perfect babies. I am so excited for you Bec whatever happens I know you are strong and you can make it through any hurdle thrown your way. 💕💕💕

@@rowenacountryman2242 Radiologists are not oncologists. They just do procedures and sit in a dark room all day while making tons of money (in the US).
@@MNP208 every year I have a I have to do sonogram imagine due to excessive scarring. Our hospital has a breast cancer clinic that is set up just for this reason. Women are already a wreck when ever they are doing regular mammograms so this clinic does all of it right there. If there is anything suspicious on the mammogram you move to the next room. If there is something suspicious a radiologist specialist comes for a more advanced imaging. If they still have questions and want any other testing with better imaging or biopsy it’s done immediately. A doctor who specializes in breast cancer will come in and explain why the have done each procedure and any results possible are given to you immediately and in test sent of you are guaranteed you are called immediately. They understand the anxiety this causes women and men also get breast cancer so anything that can be done is completed that day. The waiting is the worst nightmare for you and the emotional roller coaster woman go through. The waiting 1, day 1 week, or 1 month literally make a difference in female based cancers. Advocate for your future. Women can sometimes be dismissed as overacting over fears for intuition we have of our bodies when we KNOW something is WRONG. ADVOCATE ADVOCATE DONT BE AFRAID TO ADVOCATE. DONT LET A DOCTOR MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID TO ADVOCATE. STAND YOUR GROUND AND ADVOCATE.
Honestly they should be reported for not being compassionate. That's not okay that they told her that at all! Like things are stressful enough without a doctor shitting all over them.

I'm usually a fan that's cheering or crying along in the sidelines, however this is so awesome. It couldn't have happened to better people. This is an awesome step and embrace every second. And eat the chips for breakfast because why not? Who ever claimed that ice cream and pizza and chips aren't breakfast foods, has never grown a baby or had a hangover. So many blessings to you guys.❤❤❤❤

I felt so awful when you were discussing your biopsy experience. When I was 19 I had a biopsy and felt so exposed and terrified my life would be derailed. I had the best case scenario, luckily. There’s no one that would react well to the way the radiologist treated you. So thankful you all have been able to breathe and enjoy this momentous time in your lives ❤
I'm shocked that her radiologist said that to her!! It made me SO mad when she shared it and how upset it made her feel! The lady should've kept her mouth shut because her saying that did NO good!
Absolutely! That behaviour is strait abuse! Towards a patient, young mother and baby itself! That kind of unprofessional conduct is definitely NOT allowed especially in a sensitive medical setting and that kind of behavior should have consequences! OMG I cannot even imagine! Congrats Eamon and Bec, let the little peanuts be healthy and happy and your biggest joy!
And for what it’s worth I know people who have been pregnant with cancer or right after and all is well and everyone is perfectly healthy. That radiologist has no business assuming when is the “best” time for anyone.
I don’t understand this crazy connection I feel to people I haven’t met but wow. You two are the most deserving of this. When the doctor said your life is a movie he wasn’t joking. I have been sobbing! As a retired nurse working OB & hospice, I was infuriated at the response when you went for your biopsy! Bedside manor -10 out of 10! I'm so sorry she felt the need to belittle you & treat you like so horribly! I'm sending a late hug since I'm just now seeing this! I'm so sorry you couldn't enjoy the pos test. My heart hurt for you, I know the fear you felt, I've had patients in similar situations. Damn CA for stealing that joyous moment from you with a mamo/biopsy looming over you. WHAT A BLESSING! I will say to you what I would have said when this was posted, THIS pregnancy, post breast CA & treatment is nothing short of a MIRACLE from God. I would have said to you NEVER DOUBT this wasn't meant to be. So many ppl never have children post CA treatment, if they do its via surrogacy. To concieve naturally, GIRL START CELEBRATING!!! DO NOT FEAR, He has plans for you! I'm so happy for y'all! Medical MIRACLE! 🎉

Bringing tears to a grown man here knowing how hard this journey has been while also remembering when my wife and I found out we were having our boys. Even two years apart, both were exciting, scary, emotional, etc. And now, they are 22 and 20! Congrats!
