Anyone who has an older UHD HDR TV that *doesn’t* support Dolby ATMOS, but does have an HDMI ARC port will find this Dolby Atmos soundbar is well worth looking at. It's the 2x HDMI ports that are crucial, as they permit the soundbar to be directly connected to an Amazon FIRESTICK in the basic HDMI port, while using the HDMI ARC port for connecting the TV and soundbar. In this configuration, the Streaming Apps on your Amazon FIRESTICK - Disney+, Amazon Prime, Apple+, Netflix - become the controlling hub for your entertainment system. The FIRESTICK controls what programs you watch, volume control, etc., while the old TV and the S70's remotes become mostly redundant. Think about it as being akin when we switched from using the TV's analogue receiver to using a digital settop box with regularly changing software services.
I'm running my dolby atmos set top box into the HDMI IN port on the sound bar, then HDMI eARC from the sound bar into the eARC port on my 4K TV.
In the instructions it says to get Dolby Atmos sound, I must first switch to HDMI IN on the remote then the eARC channel.
But, switching the eARC channel switches off the HDMI IN setting.
I'm confused.
Any help please.
From the short time i used it so far, it sounds really really good abd the Atmos effect and bass effect adds extra punch to the audio.

Would someone be able to explain the three front facing speakers to me and what comes out of them. As far as I can tell there is no sound coming from the right hand half of the bar (as you look at it)
Is that because the dialogue speaker is in the other half?

@@Matthew0606X1999 For me, I have the Nova S50 to compare with, and the difference is like night and day. Speaking on the bass, centre channel and up-firing speaker, the output was not as loud as the S50; also, the clarity was a little bit disappointing. If I did not have the S50 to compare with, I probably won't feel this way.
Just wait till Ultimea comes out with the Firmware updates for the S70 and also finishes the "Custom Sound Configuration Software" my S50 was terrible until I updated the Firmware and from what I suspect the Nova S70 is going to be the same way. Don't give up on the S70 yet also folks its 169.99 through Ulitmea or Amazon with a $30 off coupon as well. Well worth it at $140 for 390 watts of pass thru 4K soundbar. Finally, I can get great sound and use my Projector!!!
