Love this, I feel everyone up sales Bose, which made me feel as if I should have gotten the Bose rather then the ht7000 rear speakers and sub. After 2 years I’m extremely happy with the choice. Specially after discovering I can increase and expand each sound level of speakers from the rears, bar, and sub. I worked of the calibration and made up firing speakers louder, mostly the rears cause they felt quiet. Took the neutral/standard sound profile and stage personally calibration to my preference. As I partial deaf person and physiological intuitive responsiveness, I think I finally got the perfect and balance of sound profile. Definitely reduce the direct ear sound by a smidge but kept it loud and up powered the upwards firing speakers of the bar and rears. Sub is powerful so not much was increased on that, but definitely more rumble output if manual calibration is made on that at low volumes. One of the best sound bars and I’ve tried all of them at friends houses. It sounds even more raw at stereo profile when the 360 feature is turned off in deep setting set up.

The TTS could use some adjusting because it is pronouncing some words incorrectly, which makes the video harder to understand, and therefore less useful.

All of these listed are several hundred to over one thousand dollars as of August 2024

What a piece of junk. The S80 has no bass and the sound is terrible. I got the S80 as a replacement for the D60 because the rear speakers blew and stopped working. The D60 out performance the S80 hands down with crazy bass and sound. The S80 has a 8” Subwoofer but yet it has no bass even at the bass level set to +6 The D60 only has a 5” Subwoofer and boy does it have bass rocks my hole living room. Don’t believe the people reviewing it on TH-cam there payed to give it a good review.

When you set it up with a Mac and attempt to setup Homekit there are things to know. 0) Setup your speaker(s) to use the same network WiFi as your Apple devices. 1) DO NOT name the speaker (or ...) for the room it will be in. Denon's HEOS suggests that. DO NOT do it. Give it another name. 2) When you setup Home on your Apple device it will want a home (default is My Home). Next it will want a room where the speaker lives. Apple suggests names that are room names. If you named your speaker for a room this WILL create a conflict. Apple Home does not allow naming a device with the same name as a room. 3) If you make the mistake of doing that, fixing it may take a lot of effort. There appear to be name caching issues. 4) Now when you have a room named, add a device. On the screen that pops up it will tell you to scan the QR code on the box. Denon doesn't have a QR code on the box. Bad Apple. Or it suggests using the setup code form the manual. Denon doesn't have a setup code in the manual. 5) click on the link to use an alternate method. A new box opens and if you scroll down a bit, it will have found your speaker, Click on it and a new box opens asking for the setup code that you do NOT have. Exit out of the add device. 6) Go to HEOS. 7) Open the menu item in settings for Voice Assistants, Add Siri. It will offer the 350 as an option (it WILL not offer soundbars, but those work without it). Hit Next. 8) Select the Manual setup Siri option. A new screen opens with - you guessed it - the secret setup code you need. Click on the option to copy it, AND write it down and save it somewhere in case you need it again. You will forget where they buried it, 9) Now go back to Home. Add device as above, and when you hit the screen to add the setup code, paste it in. It then adds the speaker to the room. Now you should have the speaker available and working in HEOS and Home and via Airplay in the control center menu on the Apple device. Good luck if you follow HEOS' suggestIon and name the speaker with a room name, and then try to setup Home to include it. For soundbars (517 at least) there is no setup code, Apparently this is because the 350 listens and can take commands, and the soundbar doesn't. Whatever the reason, the setup in Home works easier, as no Setup code is required.

Today i listened Jbl 1300. Mind blown!!!! I think if you love the warmth of jbl sound signature. Then go for it. It is bit expensive though. Rock music - like sultan of swing, has a warmth of studio sound which is always likeable IMHO🙏

When you mean louder do you mean the 990c can actually get louder than the 1300, i thought it has a smaller watt. Im a novice please

Can anyone explain if there is a difference between connecting via a wire (HDMI or optics) and wirelessly to a TV? I mean the full sound quality. Are there any short-term drops if connected via Bluetooth?

I heard both in store using the same audio samples on both and DID hear a difference. The ultra just sounded cleaner, crisper high end and better bass response. I bought the Ultra and I don’t regret it. The sound is amazing! I think it comes down to what you can afford.

I really like this Samsung soundbar. For 200$ or less if on sale I bought a 2nd one for my bedroom TV. Thanks !

DO NOT BUY THIS SOUNDBAR OR ANY SOUNDBAR FROM THIS BRAND first off they gave me 3 different defective systems i sent back 2 of theme besides the 1 i paid for already then they sent me a refund and have now ignored me for months i ended up upgradeing to a vizio soundbar as point 2 it has no direct mode this soundbar well constantly enhance or compress sounds with thare equlizers thare is no direct mode or way to have the soundbar not edit the audio and this is due to point 3 even the posiden d60 (the one i got) says it comes with atmos thats a lie these all come with dolby digital plus a lossy codec hints why the soundbar has to enhance the shit audio aswell and my final point i had constant issues with audio crackling stuttering and just horrible audio quality out of the rears aswell the rears refected off eachother which was the defective part of my system if somethang happen in the left surround u faintly heard it in the right surround causes mixes to get fucked when listening on this soundbar GO ELTS WHARE IF U DONT WANT A BAD HEADACHE aswell they no longer give updated to the first modles of these soundbars so if u buy one seccond hand or u get old stock u could get a soundbar you cant fucking update

WRONG INFORMATION !! It doesn't have built-in rechargeable battery. You can't take away. It is not portable. It has only AC for home use.

I recently got this sound bar along with a 65 lg g3 . The g3 and the sound bar look great together and are about the same size in length. They look really good on the marble wall above the fire place. However the soundbar imo sucks. It has constant sound drops and connectivity issues. That being said I have it connected via eARC with a audioquest ultra high speed cinnamon hdmi 2.1 cable so that’s not the issue. The sound quality is not great at all for the price. The g3 looks great and works well for the most part but I’ve had the system for close to 2 months now and about 3 days ago I started having issues with WiFi and can’t get it to connect for nothing. Had to plug it in via Ethernet. (Lucky i have a jack right behind the tv) also lg doesn’t support this sound bar anymore so no more firmware updates and it’s hard to find the rear speakers to pair with it since they also don’t support those anymore. I also got 2 Sony xr a80Ls for 2 bedrooms along with 2, ht-a3000 soundbars with rear speakers and subs and that systems looks great sounds great and i have not had any issues whatsoever with them. The picture quality on the lg g3 is a lot better I must say and the lg has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports where the Sonys only have 2 hdmi 2.1 and 2, 2.0’s so that’s a con on the Sony. Other than that I don’t recommend anyone get this soundbar unless you just want some overpriced bar that just looks nice on your wall. There’s way better options out there for the price.
