Hey David, Is it a KTM 690 you're riding? My perception had been that it's more of an off-road bike than one appropriate for extended touring. I was considering a BMW 800GS, but I'm curious how you've liked (or disliked) the KTM.

I don't drive without a windshield but an helmet sucks. The minimum or none when possible. Worst useless shit. Who will fall on his head or who wants his head safe but quadraplegic for the rest of his life. That put aside, after a while, traveling day after day, gets boring and you realized its only killing time and illusion. Only horizontal activities are real fun and you don;t get that often traveling roads alone.
