I use this both on full frame and crop and normally keep it on my crop camera. It's a lovely bit of kit and very much recommended as a serious upgrade from the regular kit lenses.

I really like this lens. I own a lot of very expensive Nikon lens for my d750 camera and this is the one I use the most. I could be stark naked in Antarctica, shaking like a leaf, and this lens will nail it. Why? Because it's image stabilization is incredible. Images are sharp. A great travel lens. Just read the other reviews on TH-cam about this lens and they will back me up.

I do wildlife with my telelens (200-500) and of course always carrying all my gear on my walks. I'm looking for a more versatile lens to add to my backpack, on a second body, to do landscape and wildlife also. Did you recommend the 24-120mm?

I wonder if this lens that has the VR in red and does not have the gold ring on the tip is full frame. Because it has a model of nikon 24/120 that has a gold vr and a gold ring on the tip and costs much more. You can tell me the difference between one and the other. If it's worth buying the one with the VR in red. I also visually noticed that there is one more button with VR variation that would be the Normal VR and the VR Active. Could you help me with this question?

Ariosto Fotodigital the 24-120 with the red VR sign is an older lens, which was produced from 2003-2010, also this lens has only an aperture from 3,5-5.6. The 24-120 f4 (gold VR and ring) from this video is the latest model which was introduced in 2010 and is still in production. I guess you could save some money by buying the older model, but the newer model will have better image quality. The old version was for FX sensors too.
