I wonder has anyone tried a Shibui case? They have adjustable pen loops, and so probably would accomodate a wider range of sizes.

One big con for me is that the zipper is metal. There are so many quite durable plastic zippers that might offer more scratch protection.
I would buy this case but for the metal zippers.
