Its a great Idea - looks like its 3d printed - metal would be better for security and it certainly needs security screws so it can't just be unscrewed from the gate. Since its been 5 years now I suppose this product isn't going to happen. In the meantime I made my own metal gate with electro-magnetic latching/locking - way more work to do it yourself. But having a (visual) remote lock/unlock button in the house and being able to schedule unlock & relock times, auto-relock after delay & remote control by phone is a great addition to a smart house. This product deserves to exist - there is a market for sure!
It's nearly July 2020! No such product mentioned anywhere on your website!! When can we buy this??
I agree. I looked on the website that you put in your video and there's nothing there about this lock. Also, please explain what you're doing when you push the button. It looks like your entering a morse code sequence or something, you didn't say. I was hoping to find an "August SmartLock" version of this. I have August SmartLock and it's awesome !!

I think with the new “MATTER” Standard now in 2022 they probably put a halt on the production of this to make it compatible with future tech which is probably why it’s not out yet but this video was made three years ago before “MATTER” was even a concert
ya, possibly...Also I think it's missing like if someone wants to lock it and go outside, then hows this possible with this setup?
The color on the latch for the lock position and unlock position is incorrect or backwards it should be orange to tell you that it’s unlocked and black when it’s locked
I disagree, the bright colour provides positive confirmation that it's locked from further away. Imagine forgetting if it's locked at night and needing to walk closer to check. You will confirm it earlier in your journey as soon as you see the bright orange and then you can go back to sleep

Must have this, can't believe there isn't anything avail. It's an open space for sure. I want to have my yard locked, but let my pool guy in and also have access from either side to get in and out. Geofencing would be great, unlocked before I get to the door.
And the ability to grant certain people remote access with cell phone.

What if you got kids or guests, running from fire? They don’t have a phone. That’s a serious design flaw.
How is that different to a padlocked gate? This could be set-up to unlock whenever there is an active fire alarm - after all its for a smart home.

Just get a Philips screw driver and you in four screws and take lock home 😄😄
They have screws that can not be removed with a standard and also it can be remedied with a weathershield preventing anyone from reaching around or over.

This isnt a good one especially with my fence since people can put their hand to unlock it with a press of a button.

Doesn’t look secure,looks plastic and cheap,one big boot from an unsavoury character and in they come.
It's as secure as any gate lock. Yes, of course you could break in, as you could with any standard lock. Locks are meant as a deterrent only and will not stop someone determined to "break in" . Also, they could just jump the fence.
@@EcoNetControls yep I agree they could jump the fence but harder to jump back over with swag in hand.Locks are also designed to slow down the break and entry I just feel this wouldn't be much of a barrier.
